The same Mihm who hasn't played ball for over a year? Jackson putting in Mihm in that game was mind-boggling.

He as average at best low post moves. He can only get one when he wants and that is a fade away. Duncan has plenty he can go to, Shaq had tons of moves, Yao has a good amount. KG is a 7 foot jump shooter. He is easily one of the most overrated players I've ever seen.

I think its more mindboggling why he hasnt been used...This guy before he got injured was decent center and defender and he knows the system. If he's healthy and the Lakers are getting outrebounded by C's front court that are more physical like Brown and Powe...Luke Walton is getting massacred by Powe (actually by everybody) and Turiaf is still smaller for Center...putting a 7 footer to defend and rebound would do more good than harm.

I will not be surprised if he does...bench players play better at home.

I wouldnt say average but I would agree with you somewhat taht he's a little overrated. Shaq has power and Yao is a tower...KG is a PF built like a SF. He's a little lean so he cannot back up defenders like those you've mentioned, but he use his quickness and jumping ability. He's more of a face up guy than back to the basket.

So who here says 6 and who where says 7? Either way Celts will probably take this series, its pretty much guaranteed.

Maybe because he hasn't played ball for over a year? This is the finals, you don't do stuff like this. He also looked totally lost when he was playing yesterday. Two fouls, a missed shot, and absolutely no idea what he was doing in the paint.

It's because he always roams around the perimeter and never posts up. Watch KG, his moves are pretty good, and he's got that copy dream shake move. He just never uses his post moves because he's more comfortable as a jump shooter.
But yeah, he is pretty overrated.

I agree. The guy hasn't played in ages and you expect him to be good. Milm is pretty decent player but when you haven't played in ages you are going to be rusty. But it was only for 3 minutes, so it didn't really kill them in the long run. If it was like 10 minutes, it's a whole different story.

I say never say never and the Lakers could always come back on win the title. But the odds are stack against them. I think that the C's will win Game 6. They will be at home with a sold out crowd and expect the big 3 to all have big games.

Then why suit him up if you know they're not gonna play him? Mbenga had brief stints in the playoff, why not put him on the uniform instead of Mihm if they dont have confidence in his game? The Lakers know he can play but I agree that they should not be doing it in the finals...but then again why not? Do they have a choice? They are getting outrebounded and physically beaten, Turiaf and Walton are not contributing anything...so in this situation I agree on digging deep to the bench for help.
You cannot base his performance on his brief stint...you said it yourself he has not played. And the fouls was because Walton was getting killed by Pierce. I would have put him in the game when the Lakers were up big in Game 4 (they lost that game anyway). They need a physical presence off the bench.
And if he looks like he has no idea what to do...well so is Luke Walton and he has been playing every game.

Because he shouldn't have. It was a bad decision and even the announcers noticed it. You can't expect to come back from an injury that took you out for over a year and expect to play the same way you played before. It takes time before you're back to normal. Granted his 2 minute stint didn't cost them the game, but it was still a bad idea. You don't take risks like this in the finals, especially not in an elimination game. I would have put DJ in over Mihm if I HAD to.
As for Luke Walton.....he's Luke Walton....enough said.
