Deja vu for the Celtics. They almost blew a lead at home to the Pistons last series, and do basically the same thing tonight against the Lakers. Oh well, a win's a win.

That last minute, heroic run wont translate over nor mean jack in game three. What did the Lakers prove...? Oh yeah, they're capable of getting dominated in every way, shape, and form possible. You'll never see another run like that because the Celtics wont be that complacent & satisfied with where they're at in the series again.

They proved what most already knew, and what Doc basically said, and that's the fact that Boston gets complacent when they have a solid lead. It wasn't the first time they've done it all year, wasn't the first time in the playoffs, it wasn't even the first time that game, so yeah, that's what they proved.

Refs heavily favored Celtics in the first half.

Heavily favored Lakers in the 4th.

And Celts stopped playing D in the 4th.....They need to close out games better.

Nah. There still was an awful lot of non-calls.

You're kidding right. I guess it looks that way but it will translate I think. Getting humiliated on the road, pulling out a near comeback is more than enough motivation for Lakers to play better in GM3. The Celts have been inconsistent through the playoffs although it's no argument they've handled the Lakers through the first two games they still need to win two more games.

Like how Vlad took 7 steps on the fast break before scoring?

But because of this stupid 2-3-2 format the Lakers have to take at least 2 out of three, and even then they have to go back to Boston to win. The Celtics just need to continue playing defense and keep the pressure on for the whole game and at the very least they'll go back to Boston leading 3-2.

The Pistons had the exact same almost-comeback, and do you know what happened the next game in Detroit? Boston won. I don't think anything from last game will carry over.

The Lakers had enough motivation coming into the game tonight. If losing game one and realizing these are the biggest games you're going to play in your life isn't enough motivation, surely a comeback where your advasary played no defense whatsoever wont give you any more motivation than you already had.

Celtics inconsistent? Not at all. A consistent pattern is already developed. They're impeccable at home and a fragile, breakable team on the road.
