Sox just opened up a 13-5 lead over the Twins in the 7th.

Glad their offense showed up today in a big way because Beckett wasn't very effective.

Edit: Make that 14-5.

Cocky? Yeah a team who's only finished out of 5th once is real cocky. Good "sweep" for the Yankees though. Giambi needs to shave.

Mets beat Lincecum and are now 1.5 back. Lets hope this is a start of a big run.

Long way to go, but if the Mets turn this around and grab a playoff spot then Jerry Manuel should be coach of the year in the NL.

How exactly are the Rays cocky? I know you are a Yankee fan, and you root for the Yankees to win the AL East but you aren't even cheering for the Rays to make the playoffs?

Especially if it means keeping the Red Sox out of the playoffs you think you would be rooting for the Rays.

If you read the newspaper you would know what I'm talking about little man. Before the series they talked alot of shit about not being scared, so they rightfully get owned. Not much to it.

My dad is a Yankees fan and he's really excited about this sweep. I don't know why. Yankee fans need to realize this sweep only helped one team...the Sox. Sox swept the Twins, the team ahead of them gets swept, and bam its a close race again. Anyway, Mets win again today. So do the Phillies, so no ground is made, but at least we are playing good baseball. Jerrie Manuel takes a lot more risks than Willie and I like him as coach, even though I'm one of Willie's biggest fans.
