He already did.

How do you figure this?
Theres no curse, so I don't see how the Yanks wont win one with A-Rod.
Much better than Cleveland imo.
Btw, to the poster that said he already did, the closest A-Rod got was '04 and then Mariano Fucked up.

Sorry to answer for him but all you have to do is look at history. He has NEVER lead any team to the World Series. Even when the Yankees have had the best team in baseball A-Rod didn't lead them to the WS... But then again, that's just as much Jeters fault as well. And Jeter is supposedly Mr Clutch and hasn't got the Yankees back to the WS since what... 2001? Even having the best team in baseball *supposidly* for many of those years.

Re: 08 MLB season discussion thread
A nice outing for Daisuke last night, 7.1 innings, no runs allowed but didn't get the win because of no run support. Manny coming through with an RBI in the 8th to score the only run of the game.
Red Sox plan to convert Masterson into reliever after Triple-A stint
I actually think this could be a good move, the pen has been struggling and with Buchholz coming back into the rotation I think Masterson could do quite well in the pen. And if Masterson tanks coming out of the pen he can go back to being a starter, didn't hurt Pap so hopefully this won't hurt him.

'03 actually.
His best shot at making it to the WS is with the Yankees, the Rangers surely werent gonna make him a champ, and certainly not the Mariners. Theres no way you can put the blame on Jeter or A-rod, because its the entire teams fault for not producing and the pitchers for not pitching right.
Jeters won 4 World Series already, A-Rod hasn't done shit in the playoffs.
So A-Rod will get the Yanks to a WS, even if he doesn't get a single hit, they'll win when hes on the roster.

So your saying that even if doesn't get a single hit, the Yankees will still be the best team in baseball?
A-Rod is one of the best, if not the best players in the league and the Yankees are far worse without him. Granted they still have a pretty good team, but without their superstar they aren't going to make it to a WS.
Hell maybe even with A-Rod they still won't make it to a WS.

Your kidding me right?
Now that shit made me laugh. Just because A-Rod hits more homeruns, doesnt mean he's the end all only thing the Yanks got. I'm pretty sure its A-Rod that strikes out when the bases loaded when they need him most. They can win one without him, seeing as how every year his stats are shit and I waste my time watching him strikeout.
I would make a comment about the Mets, but its not worth it because they are already embarrassing themselves.

Re: 08 MLB season discussion thread
Considering the way the Yankees were playing when A-Rod went on the DL, I'd say having the best offensive (possibly overall) player in the game on the roster helps immensely.
