Which is very doubtful. Both Mets and Yankees are doing average in there own division. It would be great to witness another epic World Series between the teams.

The Sox are out of it right now. If they get some good pitching, their offense doesn't show up. If their offense does well and their starting pitching does well, their bullpen blows it like last night. No one in the pen is getting it done. This series with New York is going to be difficult if the offense doesn't do their job.

I'm betting on the rays to win the World Series, I know its very early, but I have a feeling this is their year. they will win AL East, boston will take the wild card, TB/Boston ALCS

I love how Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight are on the Rays and Evan Longoria in particular's nuts. I hope they have a collapse like the Mets last year.

On another note the Pirates offense is incredible...it's just the pitching that's beyond horrible. The thing that sucks is they'll definitley deal a great hitter for some relief or a starter and it'll probably be Xavier Nady or Jason Bay.

People, there is half a season to go. Lots an lots of time. The Red Sox will be fine. It sucks to see their bullpen blow lead after lead (Good thing Lester came through with a CG) but these things happen through the course of a 162 game season. The bigger picture is: Big Papi has been gone for a month, Dice K just got back to being Dice K after being M.I.A. for several months and the Sox are still in very good shape. Plenty of time to sort things out, potentially pick up help, and if necessary, panic. But let's not panic for at least a month.

I'm am not concerned about the Sox being fine and where they finish the season. The pen is my concern and there being around 80 games to go isn't a good excuse to me, that's actually worse when it comes to the pen if things don't get worked out. And if it does and come playoff time, there maybe that hesitation in the back of everyone's mind about everyone in the pen struggling, there isn't a go to guy like Oki or Pap was in the playoffs last year. Also injuries, last year the Sox pen didn't really struggle(there's always the skid that a pen will go through but that was it) and there were basically no injuries that really effected the team but this year there's been a handful.
