Dodgers/Sox would be decent come to think of it.

Ramirez trying to win a World Series over his former team
Torre winning a World Series under a different team than the Yanks

Lester pitched great a great game, but the deciding factor was Aybar not getting that but down & fucking the whole season up I want Wood & Maicer at SS next year.

The Red Sox/Rays series should be a good one. I expect it to go at least 7. The series can go either way. I am picking the Sox's in 7.

I'm picking the Rays in 7. The Cubs and Brewers who were my favorite teams in the NL are out now. For that series I'm picking the Dodgers over Phillies in 6. I'm expecting some slugfests in that series.

Great article by Bill Simmons I just came across. Don't know if it's already been posted, sorry if it has.

Jon Lester is the Josh Beckett of last years playoffs. Sox/Rays should be a great series, I'm taking the Sox in 6. Lester should be ready to go for game 2, so I think the Sox will split the first two games in Tampa at least.

If Shields and Garza pitch as good as they have been this last half of the year, then we have a series. The Rays have been ecstatic, enigmatic, and simply... great... this past year. Their offense has stepped up when it needed, able to string hits together at the right times. With the absence of the command that Kaz has had on that deadly slider in the past few years {And has become more of a 2 pitch guy}, The other parts of this pitching staff has begun to shine. The bullpen has been amazing this year, the shinning gems being Grant Balfour and Chad Bradford, with a 2.12 and 1.54 ERA respectively {Which is good because of the present shoulder and back problems Percy has had all year, on and off the DL}. And their defense; quite possibly some of the best stuff in the league.

With the Red Sox as tired, beaten, and injury plagued, despite a breath-taking start from Lester and the nice baking of Papelbon, I seriously dought they have enough in the tank to take on the Rays currently.

Thats why i'm going with the Rays taking the series; 4-2.

I don't think Boston will give up and completely be blown out, as they will pack a punch... but they just dont have it in them.

Tired? Beaten? Injury plagued? Where are you coming up with this stuff? Lowell is the only injury.
