Like sirdilznik said, he gets the callup today. But it was because of a roster mistake yesterday. But at least the kid gets his feet wet today. I hope he does good.

Mike Hampton should've pulled a Rick Ankiel. He was young enough to do it. Now its too late.

I dont expect the Angels to make any moves even with all the injuries because the rosters expand on September 1st. Just hope we're 100 percent by October.

Right now I'd say Saunders is the odd man out in the playoff rotation. He's been shelled as of late. Ervin is holding up very well. I thought he'd break down a bit too. Lackey will definitely start game 1. Hopefully Santana is the game 2 starter. We should have home field at least in the 1st round and Santana has alwayys pitched better at home.

Wonder if the Rays will bring up David Price on Sept 1st? Hell definitely be a big leaguer in 09. Just doing amazing down there. I don't think hes lost a game last I checked.

He hasn't been doing good in AAA. He was great in A and AA but hasn't done well in AAA yet. But I expect him to be in the bullpen for the Rays in September. They are very high on him and they can at least let him get his feet wet in the big leauges.

Some may disagree with me, but I think if Daisuke wins 20-22 games(he'd have to win 4-6 of his last 6-7 starts, not sure how many he has) and finishes 20-22 and 2 he would have a good chance to win the Cy Young. Cliff Lee is basically the run away favorite, imo and probably many others, but who would you rather have, a 20-2 pitcher who's team doesn't make the playoffs or a 20-2 pitcher who does, that would give Matsuzaka a big boost to winning it I think.

Good first start for Michael Bowden. 5 innings just 2 runs and most importantly a W. Got into a couple of jams and got himself out of it. Can't ask for anything more than that.

Another 4 hit night!

Bowden pitched a solid game for the Sox's. It was a nice debut. And Pedroia might be heading towards being a AL MVP candidate.
