This season is already starting to look scary. Its like the exact same position we were in last year. Everyone is on the same hitting cycle.
We score a average of 3 runs a game thats horrible. The two highest games we scored points was scoring 4 against The Devil Rays, and they blew us out 13-4, and 6 against In the last Rays game, in which Mussina only allowed one run.

I hope we get our shit together soon or this is gonna be a long season

Re: 08 MLB season discussion thread
The Royals are where the Tigers were a few years ago. They just need to get serious about spending some money to have any long term success. If they can give Gil Meche 55 million dollars they can make a run at a big time slugger next season.
I don't know if they can have the kind of year of Detroit had two years ago because they wont spend the money Detroit but at least they've actually spent some.
The Royal personnel is very strong now. Trey Hillman is an excellent manager and their GM was John Schuerholtz right hand man for all those great Atlanta Braves teams.

And they actually scored more than 5 runs. Lester didn't have a good game. I hope that Wakefield can pitch a good game tonight.

Well hopefully Kennedy can have a good start this weekend against Boston. He deserves another chance, Royals were wildly swinging in that game.
It was like playing a team full of Vlad Guererros.

Jays are 4-4. We need the pitching to step the fuck up.

Re: 08 MLB season discussion thread
not even so much the starters, the bullpen has been killing us. Burnett did have a rough start the other night ,but so did Oakland's starter. Accardo just hasnt been the same the last two games for some reason. McGowan looked good last night, usually got himself out of trouble when he got himself into it.

For our relievers yes we do, however the starting rotation has looked good. I just can't believe Accardo & Wolfe blew the game again. Mark Ellis and Buck were tearing apart the Jays bullpen that game. McGowan had a decent start through 4 innings, but the A's lineup started to recognize his pitches in the 5th and began hit after hit.
