People love to say wrestling is stupid, it's fake, it's an act, etc. but pro sports can be just as scripted as wrestling but people don't talk about that.

Professional sports leagues are multimillion or multibillion dollar companies that provide their fans entertainment. Sound familiar? Yea, same thing as wwe.

If the people running the show think two particular teams in the championship would be a bigger draw than another team, they will make sure that team makes it to the championship. A referee can call a foul or penalty anytime they want, whether there is actually a foul or not. They can also not call a foul when there actually was a foul.

Ufc, for example, pays their fighters big money. The man in charge can tell a particular fighter to take a dive in a fight and lose.

With all these billions of dollars to be made, it's not about actually sport or competition, it's about the entertainment value and, more importantly, the money. But nobody calls these other professional sports stupid and fake.

As an MMA fan only, I can tell you that UFC does not script fights.

I can't tell for sure for other orgs but the UFC has so much power in MMA, they cannot risk their company fixing a fight. If they are found out, then that's them out of business.

And, if they fixed fights, why the fuck would they have their two biggest stars lose recently? Makes no sense whatsoever.

I agree that the NFL looks suspiciously scripted, for example, when 9/11 happened the Patriots won the super bowl , when hurricane Katrina happened, the Saints won the SB, when Ray Lewis said he was retiring the Ravens went on a run and won the SB, then you had the Har-bowl (harbaugh brothers). This past season Manning says he's retiring and the red hot Panthers all of the sudden look like crap and the Broncos win the SB. Notice no small market teams like my Bengals make it far :/

Not only id the Ravens go on a roll the favorite Broncos has their first playoff game all but wrapped up yet lost. All they had to do was keep the receiver out of the end zone on the last play and yet the defenders let him get behind them. ALL of them did. Right then I called that Denver would win the SB the next year. I was wrong about the win but they DID get there.

I can not say they are all fixed. At least not all the time but I do think there are times things are situated so the end result that is wanted is reached.

Wrestling is stupid.. Ask anyone in the business and they'll tell you how dumb wrestling really is.

It's not stupid because it's fake.. It's stupid because you have guys in their underwear doing weird shit to each other.

Makes a whole lot of sense really, let's be real take the example of Rousey/Holly, even Rousey was looking untouchable until Holmes KO'd her and the whole reason was no different to why Lesnar ended Taker's streak - no one expected it = in the betting world imagine the return on a huge conglomerate bet on a Rousey KO.
Every football match can be fixed too and has been reported as happening, obviously the reports focused on the lower league betting where players are paid a high amount to make situations occur within matches whether its a foul at a set time of the match, a booking, a goal, corner kicks etc there are betting syndicates around the globe who will bet on statistical outcomes for massive payouts.
Cricket, football, golf, snooker, rugby league I can go on and on at the amount of sports where bribery to benefit syndicates or extreme outcomes do occur.
