Re: When you have been playing sports , what have been your best and worst memories?
I've had a few bad accidents while playing Golf. One time while just out on the field with my friend hitting balls around, my ball was up about 100 metres ahead and I'm standing with my back to my friend as he takes his swing. He shouts to me to duck, I turn around and his ball smacks me square on the chin. That hurt quite a lot although there was no actual damage apart from a bit of swelling.
Another time, same deal, same friend, only this time my younger sister and his older sister were out with us and at one point as I'm taking a swing I didn't realise my sister is standing behind me and I clock her straight in the side of the temple on my backswing. Oops. Her face swelled up like a motherfucker, it looked like something from The Goonies.
Best memories would probably be playing in Belgium on a football tour, a bunch of teams from all over Europe were there and the games were played in a proper stadium. Although the trip itself was nightmarish, involving naked Italians invading our showers and food so horrendous I wouldn't have fed it to my dog. Belgium must also be one of the most boring countries in Europe as well (sorry Belgians) but that's another story.
Another one would be reaching the semi-final of something called the Berks & Bucks cup which was basically this big tournament involving teams from all over the south. It was a pretty big deal to get that far and even then we were screwed over by the ref.
I have also hit a hole-in-one on a golf course although the hole itself was only about 150 yards.
Without doubt the coolest thing I've seen someone else do is from a goal kick, the keeper has hit the ball out and someone nailed a perfect Higuita-esque Scorpion Kick right back at him. It didn't go in but it was still amazing.
