There was just something about them that made you fall in love with what they were doing. Around 1998/99 the Arsenal squad had a few of the players from that French national side, so I was always into watching them. I preferred the English Premier League, anyway. I found myself watching them more than any other team and hoping they'd do well, etc. Then they signed Thierry The GOAT Henry, who was my favourite player at the time.
After that it was like...IDK, it's not really a conscious decision. When you truly become a die hard fan of a club/franchise, you don't really sit there one day and say, "alright, I'm gonna support THIS team." It just happens. Sometimes it takes one moment to make it all click - the signing of Henry was that moment for me - and from that point forward you couldn't look back even if you tried. It went from watching them on TV, to travelling down to London (or wherever else for away games), and now every Arsenal game is torture, but it's the best kind of torture. You live and breathe every loss, but you live and breathe every win, and you wouldn't have it any other way.
Two paragraphs when all you needed to say was shit attracts shit and be done with it.
Thierry Henry was nothing but a CHEAT, btw. Cheated an honest, hard working country like Ireland, cheated on his girlfriend and cheated death when Wrestleing Forum's very own Irish Jet tried to shoot him.
You should look up to someone such as DIDIER DROGBA. There is a true man we can be proud of. Never once in his life cheated, dived or anything like that . Loved the big occasions. Was just pure GOAT through and through. HE STOPPED A WAR TOO. A WAR. And built hospitals for his country. All this while scoring against Arsenal all the time and winning every trophy available to him. My Lord what a hero. Second only to TOTTI.
The true story on how I supported Chelsea was pretty much fate. So it's primary school and it's playtime (fuck I loved playtime) and I'm outside with my friends. So my friend just started chanting "Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea". So for some reason I joined in. Didn't know it was a football team, didn't know what the fuck it was. I just started chanting it because I was like 6 and thought it was cool I guess. So later I find out it's a football team. I go home and I say, "Dad I support Chelsea, who do you support?". My dad supports Chelsea. His brothers and sister support Chelsea. So it's in the family and I didn't even know, but yet that day, it was Chelsea that kid happened to be chanting. Fate, baby. Fate.
I thank the good Lord above that he wasn't chanting Arsenal. I would have brought GREAT SHAME upon my whole family. haribo, don't even try to make any smart ass jokes. Don't do it.
