Re: I don't want Christian near the world title.
I'm not going to bash Swagger just for the fact that Christian is far more talented or the starter of this topic is Swagger guy. I always thought with the right booking (like right now) he has the tools. For the Christian, he is witout a doubt one of the most underrated wrestler in the history of this industry. Great on the mic & ring. Has charisma and character. Throughout the years paid his dues. I do think he deserve one last good run for the WHC maybe with some bodyguard or group like EdgeHead. His victory over Del Rio was the most enjoyable wrestling moment of my life. After in-ring career he could be great manager/commentator etc.

I agreee, Christian is terrible, the guy looks so generic and he doenst even have a real character at all.
Hes been stuck in the midcard for years, that fans simply can't take him seriously.

I don't want him anywhere near WWE because they took a shit on him big time and now he's exactly what they want him to be. An afterthought. It's so sad considering how good Christian could've been

Re: I don't want Christian near the world title.
Christian is the total package and is a talented performer, the only thing he lacks is that stage presence feel that Batista, Cena, or Rock have. I don't have any problems with Christian main eventing on SmackDown competing for one more run as WHC. I would like to see Christian feud with Del Rio after Wrestlemania over the WHC title resulting with him winning the big gold belt but I feel like Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, or Orton will all be getting shots before Christian does.

I agree, ever since he came back in 2009 he has not been as good as he use to be, He is a great star but right now he should be what Jericho is doing, putting talent over. (This thread was made at the time of the weed bust on Swagger, OP just letting a little steam of perhaps?)

At least part of the blame has to fall on WWE. They have refused to book Christian as the Captain Charisma character of 2004/2005 and in TNA. There really isn't a logical reason on why they won't let Christian play to his strengths as a face or a heel. Perhaps it's as simple as Vince punishing Christian for going to TNA. Maybe it's Vince getting worried that Christian will get mega over as he was with the previous character and abandon WWE again. Whatever it is, WWE has purposely held Christian back in character development (the one more match character especially was simply a disaster that no one could pull off in the long term) and booking since 2009 and never let him reach his full potential. When Christian isn't even allowed to wear his trademark hoodies, something happened backstage and someone is holding him down.
And it's a shame, because I have a feeling that if Christian went off script and showed what he really could do, a lot of this what happened to Christian would disappear quickly.

Re: I don't want Christian near the world title.
Unfortunately for Christian, people don't give a shit about him in 2013. It would make for poor television to have him in the world title picture. Perhaps an Intercontinental Championship feud or something in that tier.

I,m a big Christian fan, but I agree with this totally. Would love to see him get the big one again but can't see it, he's too far down the pecking order. IC title is possible but beyond that I think just isn't going to happen.
