I'll likely watch just because it's the last show before the Rumble and the Punk/Rock stuff, but matches like Sheamus/Barrett that we ALREADY saw on this weeks RAW is pointless. No one wants to see it again and this is why people don't watch Smackdown. No Ziggler on the show gets a

people creaming their pants over the god line dont realize that the only ones that buy it are the ''stream on the pc'' audience,that doesnt sell PPvs,putting your opponent over in the ring,mic and making the title mean everything to you does...

Punk is flat out better than Rock on the mic, there's no way around it, it just is. There's no scenario I could ever believe where Rock could actually beat someone of this calibur in a verbal fight. He hasn't even come close yet.

If Punk is so wonderful on the mic or in fact, that damn great, why is Rock having to put him over in nearly every single promo he has done thus far then? Rock never did that with Austin, HHH, Mankind, Taker, Big Show, Cena... the list goes on. The reason is simple. Punk has no credibility. Full Stop.

I know some of you will blame the creative writing and yes, it is shitty these days but fuck... you can only go so far into blaming that.

What PPV numbers? The only time he's said that line to build up a PPV was for... I mean IS for the Royal Rumble, which hasn't happened yet. Granted you're right that making your opponent seem as big a deal as possible is the best way to sell a PPV. Rock's doing this, and Punk did it for Rock on Raw as well. It's a moot point though because he doesn't have to do it for Punk. However the difference is for all of those guys except Cena, it was a different Rock they were facing that made his name off of grinding his opponents into dust verbally in hilarious fashion. And for Cena, while I can't say for certain, I don't recall Rock ever ignoring Cena's talent, committment, and (kayfabe) resilience, but spent most of the time countering Cena and making jokes that didn't mean anything aside from a quick laugh. Worst thing I can remember from Rock against Cena was when he was talking to that kid (who was imitating Cena) and said "You took the ball and you ran with it! You didn't run really far, but you ran your little legs off!" or something like that.

But yeah, this isn't some one-sided build, Punk did have credibility even before The Rock opened his mouth despite what haters like to believe, and they're building this up perfectly.

you don't compare punk who is in his prime ,with Rock who is not in his prime.
