Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
I decided to make this thread because I see Antonio Cesaro is becoming a popular superstar amongst the IWC members, and it looks like WWE is high on him too. So this thread will be here for any discussion about his future matches and what you thought of it and and your overall opinion of the guy and what you think is in stored for him in the near future.
The other day Cesaro touted this and here's the quote...
Quote:
Antonio Cesaro touted being successful in the ring during an interview with Dailybulletin.com.
“I don’t think there’s any American who can beat me. I’m the greatest United States Champion in history,” Cesaro said.
Also in the interview, Cesaro mentions he doesn’t fear any other WWE Superstar.
“I have respect for the other superstars … but I wouldn’t say I fear anybody. Fear is what holds you back. Right now, my focus and goal is on the United States Championship, to defend (it) well, and to prove my point that nobody can beat me. The Royal Rumble is coming, and I have my eye on that as well.”
|
A lot of peeps are simply waiting for Antonio to have that defining opponent and it could be Miz, but a lot think a Swagger/Antonio feud could be the final outcome to this "no American has yet to beat me" angle. But there are still other options, so we'll see.
Anyways, discuss.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
I hope he only loses to an American when its a big feud, to a main eventer. Doesn't need to be over his title, could be after his reign is overoul. His claim is that no American has pinned/submitted him, so he could lose it in a triple threat w/o getting pinned, or in a cage match, w/e. Or he could lose it to another non-American.
But, his first pinfall/submission to an American should be a main eventer. Cesaro's 'streak' should carry him into a meaningful rivalry that ppl will notice, and since he'll take the loss its not hurting the main eventer, though hopefully Cesaro will also get a dirty win to show Cesaro's a threat. I nominate the American hero, John Cena.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
If he keeps the US Championship up untill EC, I´d love for them to do a Chamber match for the US title as well. I just think the format would work awesomely for a guy like Cesaro, but don´t think he´ll lose the title by then so having a US Title Chamber match is really pretty much my only hope in that respect.
And yes, 3 Chamber matches in one PPV might be overkill, I realize that. I honestly don´t really care though. They could add a diva´s Chamber match too, make it all chamber matches, I don´t care, long as I get to see Cesaro being badass in the chamber that´s all that matters :P

I could see a returning Swagger, as a face, be the one to try and stop Cesaro, but then Cesaro beats him and then beats him again. BOSS!

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
I like Cesaro but I absolutely hate his gimmick, not because WWE did a good job of making him a heel but because its boring. Just get rid of the flag! It makes him look retarded.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
for those who called out Del Rio for not being over when he was heel.. ya. Indy Marks. Cesaro is not very over despite getting one of the steadiest pushes in long time.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
Cesaro gets more of a pop than he does heat.
Nonetheless, CESARO SWAG. He's why I watch WWE weekly.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
he's a good wrestler no doubt, but he doesn't have the look and looks too old, like DDP in WCW.

Re: Antonio Cesaro discussion thread
he's 32 and his look at actually perfect for general WWE.
have to add how Batista as an example proves you wrong right off the bat. He debuted in his late 30's.
