Do you think Smackdown is the new Heat/Velocity?
I mean I am sorry, Raw is awful, and that means IDK what Smackdown even is. The roster is boring and old, their stars are guys that back when wrestling was great were jobbing to guys that weret even stars. I mean when wrestling was great were you really begging for a Mark Henry or Big Show return?!?! I do get that the times are tough and they are "trying to rebuild" but it is now being shown on the SyFy net work (where most WWE shows go to die) does this not feel like this is just a new Heat or Velocity?
TELL US WHAT YOU THINK!!!

Wouldn't go that far. I mean the show has his own championships and such. But it does feel irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The excessive need to recap RAW doesn't help things either.

Re: Do you think Smackdown is the new Heat/Velocity?
The fact that its a) not live and b) has the WWE B-team on it really kills any desire I used to have to watch it as it airs on TV. if I really wanted to know what happens I could just read spoilers online and skip the 2 hours, or maybe watch part of it on youtube if theres some really good segment.
To make smackdown worth watching they need to put it on live tuesday night and have some of the A-team make appearances. Just can't be bothered to watch a taped 2 hour show where nothing important ever happens. All the smackdown angles get started and furthered on Raw cause they know thats the only show most people watch. When was the last time anything must-see happened on Smackdown?

Re: Do you think Smackdown is the new Heat/Velocity?
yes and no. I feel like they need to do events on SD like they do on Raw to grab some attention from viewers. like special episodes and big time matches, the way i can sorta see them being the same is that they overly talk about whats happening or going to happen on Raw, so in that sense eh kinda. They gotta spark somethin lately when i watch i almost want teddy to come out and say "holla holla holla ladder tag match time!!" lol

I wouldn't go as far as to say SD is the new Heat/Velocity, however I honestly don't watch Smackdown that much nor care for the storylines.
There's a reason Raw is three hours long whereas SD is not.

Re: Do you think Smackdown is the new Heat/Velocity?
That's a big stretch. SD is still way more relevant than Heat and Velocity ever were, considering title changes happen and the names that appear on the show. It's not as important as it once was though, but that's what happens when for years they've depleted SD!'s roster, and then they make RAW 3 hours so they fill it with SD wrestlers and feuds, leaving nothing significant for SD.

I agree. I enjoyed SD more when RAW roster guys weren't on there every week. Sure, once in a while they'd have RAW guys on the show (ex: Edge being forced to go to SD to face Batista, Kurt Angle going to SD to win the WHC, etc), but that wasn't every week like it is now. They need to do the split again, keep the RAW guys on RAW, and keep the SD guys on SD lol.
Also, when was the last time SmackDown was live actively? (not counting their ridiculous Super SmackDown shows lol)

Is Sheamus fault since he become the new top guy on SD everything as been awful, just extirp that tumor and you gonna see how things get better.
