Randy Orton turning heel
 

Two more names for the 2013 WWE Royal Rumble match were announced on Friday's WWE SmackDown telecast. Sheamus and Randy Orton are the first two SmackDown competitors to be confirmed as entrants. John Cena was already announced as an entrant on RAW this past week. The only other match confirmed thus far for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is CM Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE title. The Rock will return on RAW this Monday to begin that feud. The 2013 Royal Rumble pay-per-view takes place on Sunday, January 27th from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Speaking of Sheamus and Randy Orton, Sheamus tweeted the following to Orton following this week's WWE SmackDown telecast:

“Okay. The Viper stole me glory on #Smackdown. No worries. An Irishman can out-snake ANY snake. #AskStPatrick”

Sheamus vs. Randy Orton is expected to be featured as one of the top feuds on SmackDown during the next few months. Orton is also expected to turn heel in the very near future.

Makes sense. The dirtsheets have been saying Sheamus and Orton at Wrestlemania is a strong possibility. I think it's a decent money match. Sheamus and Orton were teasing a WHC match with each other when Sheamus was still holding the belt. I wonder if one or the other will win the title before Mania, but if not it's still a potentially interesting rivalry that will likely lead to a big Wrestlemania bout with or without the title on the line.

If they do Orton/Sheamus for Mania - then they don't need it for the title imo. Orton's heel turn would be enough for the feud, and I'm bringing this up because I don't want to Orton or Sheamus to win the Royal Rumble (again) just so they can have a title feud. Ryback should win the Rumble and face either Big Show or Ziggler for the World Title at Mania. Orton and Sheamus don't need a Rumble win, and they won't get a rub from winning it, unlike someone like Ryback who could greatly benefit from a Rumble win.

I think its more Randy Orton's lack of talent and 'wellness.' Would you put the belt on someone who was one test away from the TNA penalty?
