Re: Are you interested in face Del Rio vs Big Show for WHC?
Based on what happened on RAW I'm very interested.
LET ME SEE YOUR FACE!

Re: Are you interested in face Del Rio vs Big Show for WHC?
Don't really wanna see it, not so much cause of the people in it, I just don't find many Big Show feuds that interesting. If he feuded with a guy like Ryback,Henry,Big E or something, that'd be better, but it's hard to find many good matches with Show and someone else who isn't able to do majority of their moves, since it requires lifting a guy.
Though Del Rio as a face has been great. Especially on Raw this past week with his backstage promo with Ricardo. Seems like Del Rio is actually one of those guys who could be much better as a face than a heel. If you see the stuff he does outside of TV, you'll see how he's much more suited for a face(he VOLUNTEERS to do the Be A Star rallys, compared to most other stars who are chosen to do it)

This was my big question. There's nothing really relatable about his character, so what precisely are the fans supposed to cheer for? Have we ever actually had a face whose primary character trait is his wealth and affluence?

I think the likable and relatable trait about Face ADR is that he looks out for his friends.

How does he work as a babyface? He doesn't. How does he work as a heel? He doesn't. For me he doesn't work period, especially not in the main event. Not interested in the slightest, everything he does feels awkward and forced. How many times must Del Rio be shoved main event for them to realise that no one gives a shit?

If they give him some kind of gallant gentleman/honest man gimmick as a face it could really work. Coming out to fight against injustice and such, giving divas and female members of the audience flowers and such. It would be a good midcard act to establish him as a face for an inevitable main event run. They need to use Ricardo a lot to help facilitate that.
Del Rio challenging and facing Show for the title at the Rumble would be fine with me. I'm actually intrigued by how far he can go as a face.

Agreed with a good part of this. Del Rio seems to be stuck in some sort of middle ground place... It actually seems like he doesn't belong as a face or a heel. My problem is that I really like the guy. I'm hoping as time goes on he becomes a more acceptable face in the eyes of the fans. It's early still in this process so there may be hope for him yet.

Del Rio is starting to not want to make me change the channel.
Him as a face + giving ricardo more in ring time has potential.

In Austin's case, he was a bad guy, and no one had any idea that his a$$hole ways would get popular, but they did, so just make him a vulgar a$$hole against heels (and throw in screwjobs), and viola, you've got tons of money.
I don't think Del Rio is nearly as good as Stone Cold, but I think Stone Cold proves that there's no one formula for being a good guy. So long as someone is entertaining, they can be a good guy.
