During a fierce WWE Tag Team Title Match against Team Hell No on WWE Main Event Wednesday night, Cody Rhodes sustained an injury in the ring at the hands of the monstrous Kane.
While battling The Big Red Monster, the second generation competitor took a hard fall, resulting in what WWE’s Dr. Sampson characterized as a concussion and a strained shoulder. Sampson stated further tests would be done in the coming days.
With just days to go before Survivor Series, Rhodes’ status for the pay-per-view is now in question. It is not yet known whether Rhodes, a member of Team Ziggler, will be able to compete in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match against Team Foley.
Stay tuned to WWE.com for the very latest on Rhodes’ injury and status.
exclusive in link (this was yesterday) so who know what else they found today in their tests
Re: Exclusive: More Details On Injured Star In SD Tapings
Yeah bad landing there. From what WWE have published on their site, he has a concussion and strained shoulder which is actually pretty remarkable and fortunate given the angle Cody landed.

They pulled Del Rio from a PPV when he was suffering from "concussion like symptoms" if Rhodes has a concussion AND a fucked up shoulder, I'd say it's a given he's missing the PPV.
I suppose if they have nobody to replace him, which they don't really which says a lot about WWE's depth, they could easily have him be rolled up and eliminated immediately?

They could chuck in Johnny Curtis and his Fandango thing or they could put in Otunga only to have him eliminated quickly. Even if Rhodes is fine by Sunday I agree he isn't making the PPV. That would be a ridiculous safety risk.
