Re: Smackdown 10/12, Main Event, Superstars & SMS Spoilers
Meh doesnt look like a great smackdown to me. Main Event looks like an interesting show. Wondering if theyll continue to had main event talent there or will it eventually turn into another superstars.

Jinder Mahal beating Santino and Zack Ryder with Slater's assistance alone is the reason why I'll be watching this week.

Jesus what the fuck is up with the Big show? Fucking idiot. I think he hurt Sheamus on RAW as well.

I wouldn't really fault Big Show for that.

He attacked Tensai during a match last week, thus Albert has sought revenge

Average looking show. After 5 months of sapping energy from the viewers with Sheamus vs ADR, they exchange it for Sheamus/Big Show
I won't judge until it's been watched though, spoilers can be deceiving in terms of the shows quality.

Average looking show, shame about the main event but after burying Del Rio for the entirety of the year I think they suddenly remembered they liked him so whatever. Del Rio needs the attention, Bryan will make gold out of whatever WWE gives him. Suppose this also confirms that Bryan is tweener at the least and heading in the general direction of face.

Re: Smackdown 10/12, Main Event, Superstars & SMS Spoilers
Okay, a few comments, since I was at the show... Or I suppose say, I was at the shows (since they tape no less than four shows on Tuesday nights)...
The Damien Sandow loss to Sin Cara is not that big of a deal. Yes, he does get pinned by Sin Cara, but, firstly, it's a good, competitive match (though short), and secondly, the way the match was booked, he lost because Cody Rhodes gets thrown out of the ringside area (he attacked Sin Cara once) by the referee, and Sandow bitterly protested, and then in a very humorous spot, Sin Cara sprung off the top rope and rana'd Sandow into a pin. Sandow was in disbelief and though Sin Cara won, the story of the match was the tag team story and how Sandow lost simply because he was thrown off his cerebral gameplan against Sin Cara.
But, yeah, The Sandrone could be right that Sandow may now begin to experience what WWE typically does to new guys. After a long winning streak, they go on a lengthy losing streak, especially if they're a heel.
Believe it or not, Wade Barrett received a biiig mixed reaction pop, with tons of cheers and tons of boos. Now, it always helps to come out first. But it was still very surprising to me. He was quite over with the San Jose crowd. Again, it's greatly beneficial to a wrestler to be one of the first guys through the curtain, but I was still impressed with this.
The Kidd/Barrett match is quite good, too. Lots of excellent back-and-forth action with a climactic finish, very unlike the squashes Barrett's engaged in elsewhere since returning.
Also, I think it should be clear (and really this has been the case for a while now), Daniel Bryan is a meta babyface. And last night vs. Del Rio, that became more transparent than ever before, the way he played with/taunted the crowd, obviously reacting only nominally as a heel but really being a babyface. What he says to Del Rio during a backstage segment confirms it, too. So yeah, he's really a meta face, certainly. I don't think he'll lose anything from the loss to Del Rio.
They really did make Cody Rhodes look like a weakling in the Saturday Morning Slam match with Brodus Clay. He begged off and pleaded for mercy, he attempted to dance to appease the fans and Brodus... I guess it's for a specific target audience, but why not do that with Heath Slater or someone on that level? Eh. Admittedly, part of it was kind of funny, such as Cody's so-bad-it's-kind-of-funny-and-good dance in the middle of the match.
Stupid crowd chanted "U-S-A!" during the match between Justin Gabriel (South African) and Antonio Cesaro (Swiss). I kept telling a bunch of people, including children that Gabriel is from South Africa and the chant makes no sense whatsoever. A dad shot me a look and I just shrugged at him, saying, "Well...? For whom are we, as an audience, chanting?"
Sheamus was very, very over and the crowd had his back at every turn.
Some kids were chanting "Big Show's boring" at a few different points in the show a couple of rows behind me. Kind of amusing.
Kane/Ziggler match is quite good, but not as good as a few of their encounters from a couple of years ago. Still worth checking out. When Vickie came out to announce the arrival of Ziggler, nobody could hear a word she said because the crowd drowned her out with jeers.
Good time. Can't compare it to the hot, lively experience of Raw in Sacramento, exactly, but an enjoyable, more minor, show or set of shows, as it were.
