Swagger vs Mahal?
I know this sounds a bit random, but it just occurred to me that the WWE could have mildly controversial feud between the two men. Perhaps the next time the WWE honors the troops, or the next "American War Holiday", "D-Day" for example all the wrestlers come out, and salute the flag. The camera does its usual thing by spanning over the crowd, and everyone standing on their feet proud to be an American. Swagger is staring dead at Mahal who still has his "turban" on.
Swagger makes a big deal about this on "tout", and gets some fans riled up. He then moves on to twitter, and keeps the "angle" going making it seem a bit legit as if he is offended personally. The Miz of all people takes notice of this on his next MizTv special, and wants Mahal to respond to Swagger's remarks with, or without "The Band". Mahal agrees via "tout" to be on MizTv. Mahal tells The Band to come along with him, and they do. Slater says that Mahal need not to worry, because he is American, and these idiots will be forced to believe him.
All three men come out, and Miz awaits. First, I would have Mahal just come out, and apologize right away to that he meant no harm, and that part of his religion is to wear this Turban. Slater cuts him off, and says that this is American, and we honor "freedom of religion". Slater says that Swagger needs to give up wrestling, and go run for Mayor in Oklahoma. Slater says this is professional wrestling, and we don't have time for politics. At this point this is when Slater starts the nickname "Uncle Sam" in reference to Jack Swagger.
Mahal takes the mic back from Slater, and tells the fans all over the world that he is not here to offend, and that if this were offensive towards Jack he will apologize to him right now in this very ring. Unfamiliar music hits, and out comes Jack Swagger. He tells Mahal that he realizes that he didn't call him out here to apologize, and that this is all a set up. Mahal gets serious, and tells Swagger that he will have his men leave the ring. Both men exit the ring, and stand ringside. Swagger walks down patiently. At this point both men are in the ring, and Miz tells Mahal that he now has to apologize. Mahal puts his hand out, and shakes his head while apologizing to him.
Boom Kane's music hits, and he along with Daniel Bryan are on the Titantron. The fans immediately start chanting "Hug it out" over, and over. Then, they both actually "hug it out". However, Kane, and Bryan start arguing with everyone's attention on them, and that's where Mahal just flattens Swagger with a short are clothesline. Crowd erupts in boo's and the titan tron goes off with all three men beating the living shit out of Jack Swagger. The Miz just for the hell of it gets a few kicks himself. The whole point of the idea here is to turn Swagger face, while the other three men try to paint the picture that Jack Swagger is just some "dork" who is really, really in to America, dead Presidents and Washington DC.
I would even have the WWE do a poll. Did Jack Swagger over react over Mahal not taking off his Turban? I would bet most of the WWE Universe would probably answer no, and support Jack Swagger. Swagger would says that part of being American is about having tolerance, and respect. Jack says where is Mahal's tolerance, and respect? Jack says that it wasn't asking much for Jinder to take 3 minutes of his time to honor the great country in which he makes a living in. People would support this because it's rational, and not prejudice sounding. Swagger says when he performs in places like Egypt, he respects their traditions, and in places like Japan you respect their wishes. It's no different here, and we honor all religious customs to boot. The WWE could gain some attention with an angle like this.
