The problem with his character is that he has no character. Seriously, what are some of his character traits? Are there any?
EDIT: I mean people talk a lot about how empty Smilin' Babyface John Cena's character is sometimes (myself included), but he has the character depth of Tony fuckin' Soprano when compared to Sheamus.

Yeah, he's unbearable now. I fucking hate the happy babyfaces that smile at everything.
Off topic but still related, why the fuck does sheamus always kick out at one? He is very rarely down for two and I don't think he has ever had a 2 1/2 count and it bugs the shit out of me.

Like I said before, today's Sheamus is a shadow of his former self. He's the SmackDown equivalent of John Cena: he doesn't take anything seriously, he tells jokes that aren't funny, he no-sells everything that is thrown at him, he's consistently shoved down our throats, and he's a terrible champion. The only reason he is where he is today is because he and HHH are weightlifting buddies.
Now, would the previous Sheamus, the Celtic Warrior who kicked everyone's ass and didn't take anyone's shit, deserve to be the World Heavyweight Champion? Absolutely. Does today's Sheamus, with all the previous characteristics I've mentioned that make him a horrible clone of Cena, deserve to be the World Heavyweight Champion? Absolutely not.

The problem really is that he's become a very one dimensional character during his rise back to the top of the game. I also find him very difficult to be interested in when he doesn't sell any feud. Seriously, everytime I bother watching a segment with him, he doesn't fucking take any heels seriously. Why was I supposed to be invested in Del Rio vs Sheamus when no matter what Berty did, Sheamus would just laugh it off and mock him?

His opening promo was fucking bullshit tonight. I was legitimately pissed off. He buried BigShow using the stupidest fucking example, that he's been using on repeat; then he buried DB again. He then walks off looking like the 'cool' guy for not shaking his hand.
Sheamus was a piece of shit because they edited in fake ass cheers and he was a fucking douche bag for not shaking his hand.
