I know I'm being repetitive, but all of this is because of his change of character. When CM Punk was a joking face who wasn't actually funny, people criticized that too.
There are guys that can portay the "Smiling lovable" faces. Guys like Rey Mysterio or Big Show. But when we are talking about Punk or Sheamus, that's a crime. Why do they book their top faces that way? We have been badass top faces as Undertaker, Triple H or even Orton right now, so it can't be that they don't know how to book a barbaric face.
For me that's a headache because I'm a huge fan of Sheamus and his Celtic Warrior persona(he created it for himself) and even before his victory at the Royal Rumble I smelt they were going to ruin his character and turn him into a tasteless, generic smiling face.
I know there are guys have never liked Sheamus, but I think the difference beetween the "general opinion" the second half of 2010 and 2011 about Sheamus has changed drastically. He used to be seen as a great performer, with personality, charisma and attitude.
He's not the only big guy since 2009, and that has little to do with it regardless. Who gets pushed on size anymore? Other than RyBack, because he simply has no other qualities, I can't think of one example. He's Triple H's workout partner, that's why he's been in WWE for 3 years and has absolutely nothing left to do, he's accomplished damn near everything, while people who've been here for 10 to 15 have hardly anything to show for themselves. It's pathetic.

Game of Thrones has been renewed for season 4. A man is pleased.
"As the future of the land hangs in the balance, no one will rest until the Seven Kingdoms have exploded in a veritable storm of swords...."
1. He has a decent look and size.
2. He is very marketable and promotes the WWE well.
3. He is very over with the kids and casuals.
4. He has a unique moveset.
5. Consistantly puts on good matches with most of the wrestlers he works with (Despite always having predictable endings).
6. He is workout buddies with Triple H.
It's a no brainer, if I was a business man i'd have him as one of my top guys also, I would just book him a bit better and not have him win every single match. I'm not sure how much of a draw he actually is but i'd say he is the biggest draw next to Cena considering how many kids watch WWE next to adult males.
i am finding shamus is becoming stale as champion, I dont mind him as a quick champion but not this long of a run, I think SD could easily survive with someone else as champion, I know the viper is off shooting a movie, but i think he would be great, I am kinda hoping Show knocks him out and gets a small run with it, i got a soft spot for show
