When will it catch on?
The whole notion that Ryback is undefeated, and superstars in the WWE start to make reference towards it should be starting at some point. At that point then the challenges just start to pour in like it's some kind of "goal"to defeat this man. Right now I can understand these "squash" matches, and this is how professional wrestling works. However, these men are suppose to be competitive, and I think open challenges should start. Perhaps short stories in each one that leads to one thing, or another.
For example Kofi tells R-Truth that he is going to take the night off of because he knows he can defeat Ryback, and tonight he is going to prove it. It would be a great way to start the show with a bang. The wild part is Kofi loses, and ends up being taken away via the ambulance. Ryback injures by accident during the match. This infuriates R-Truth, but Kofi knows that it was an accident, and this bothers R-Truth that Kofi won't listen to him.
Ryback would apologize, and Kofi would ok with it, but not R-Truth. R-Truth tells Kofi that he is going to challenge Ryback for him. Kofi tries to tell Truth that he doesn't need to prove anything to him, and besides how will lil' Jimmy feel should R-Truth get hurt. R-Truth tells Kofi he is getting his revenge on Ryback for putting his best friend in this position. Perhaps Kofi works the fake injury angle as a way to get fans behind him for a return.
Ryback takes on R-Truth, and wins, but in controversial fashion. R-Truth prior to the match asks AJ if this can be a non-disqualification match, and she says yes. At one point during the match R-Truth actually has Ryback down, and out. Except R-Truth snaps, and just begins beating Ryback with a chair. Kofi comes down, and grabs R-Truth to stop him, but R-Truth in a fit of rage hits Kofi as well. This causes R-Truth to lose it, and feel ashamed. Ryback slowly gains consciousness, and destroys R-Truth for the victory.

Re: When will it catch on?
So basically, you want the man-beast, undefeated monster to...apologise...for hurting someone and then have him almost beaten to a pulp by a guy who has an imaginary friend?

Re: When will it catch on?
Kofi can't turn heel because he doesn't know how to "not smile"

Re: When will it catch on?
Ya know what's kind of funny? Ryback lost to Alex Riley at a live event in January so technically this winning streak is a joke. I realize they're probably basing it on TV matches only but even a 100 match streak would mean he'd have to wrestle on both shows and win every week for just under 2 years.

Just give him a 5 man gauntlet match every show, that'll get the numbers up fast. See what kind of stamina he's got as well. Haven't seen him winded yet for a big guy but haven't had a 15+ min match yet either.
