Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?
Whether you're a fan of him or not, you have to admit that as soon as he walks out into the arena the audience laps up everything he does. I can't even picture John Cena being able to do what Bryan does and eliciting the same crowd response, even if he had the same catchphrase and No/Stop It attire.
Bryan may not be better on the mic than Cena, but imo he's definitely a better actor.

Yeah the rock comparison might be taking it a little it to far
That being said the "yes" shit has gotten over remarkably well

Bryan has the crowd in the palm of his hand, He could go out there and say anything and the fans will go crazy for him. Like you said he's not the best mic worker, but i cant think of much guys who can work a crowd as well as he is doing at the minute. He's just pure gold night in and night out.

The ghosts of Gorgeous George and Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker... They all fall short when measured against Daniel Bryan.
GOAT Face has more than one meaning, as we know.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?
Bryan really does have the crowd at his control more than most of the roster. However, comparing him to The Rock is kind of pushing it, and I'm a huge Bryan fan.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?
There is nobody in all of wrestling that works a crowd better than Bryan at the moment. I mean, it's not even close. At the rate he is going, it's hard not to imagine him going down in history as one of the greatest of all time (top 20). That said, Bryan is not really comparable to The Rock because his gimmick/style are so different. However, I would make a comparison with Bryan to early WWE-Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero at the height of his popularity. Especially early Kurt, whose heel gimmick was comedic and entertaining to the crowd while still maintaining his in-ring credibility.

Agreed, Bryan is more comparable to Angle than The Rock.

i loved smackdown this week. it was basically the daniel bryan/kane show. i wouldn't mind if it was like that every week as long as it's funny. you can see how the crowd really likes him and it doesn't matter if he's a heel.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?
Nobody has gotten a response like Rock and Austin got from the crowd since The Rock and Austin. However, I think D-Bry is on that level just a peg below. I'd compare him to early Kurt Angle, when Angle was comedic but also taken seriously in the ring, talked about the three Is, said "It's true" and had people chanting "you suck". The crowd really really loved to boo Kurt because he entertained the hell out of them and he put on great matches. He also someone pulled off being kind of goofy but intense at the same time. He made sense both as a comedic character and as a main event wrestler that you took seriously. Daniel Bryan is the same exact way and its a rare wrestler/gimmick that can pull it off.

Re: Is Bryan the best wrestler at working the crowd since the Rock?
Well, did anybody ever in their right mind even come close to thinking DB and THE ROCK would be in the same ring one day? The dude has been the most consistently well booked star in the WWE since he started feuding with Henry, and I don't think creative even has to try with him. It's amazing tbh.
