For what seems like every PPV since Extreme Rules, every Sheamus match has pretty much had the same constant formula. His opponent works over his arm. It just doesn't make sense to me, especially since his finisher involves his legs, not his arm.
Not sure if this is the right section or if this will stay open but has anybody else noticed the constant working over of Sheamus arm?
I think that's more of a Del Rio thing as he likes to set up for the cross arm breaker. ADR has good ring psychology.
I might be looking too deep. It seems like this happens even on RAW & Smackdown but I forget, he's only had 2 actual feuds since being champion, both who have finishers that does damage to the arm.
But it seems like I can recall this happening with Orton and Chris Jericho this year. Not to mention, likely others that I'm having trouble finding video of thanks to WWE cleaning house on Youtube.

That isn't 'good ring psychology', it's psychology that could be done by a 10 year old. If anything, Del Rio's ring psychology is below average because he just does the same thing over and over again. Much like every other aspect of his character TBH.

Based on the amount of "damage" Sheamus has suffered to that arm/shoulder this year, the guy should be shelved for a year or so of rehab. I guess he just needs to stay away from ADR and Bryan for a while.
Still, why wouldn't you target the arm that's been frequently targeted for the better part of a year? That's common sense. It's not any different than someone with "bruised ribs" having his body attacked during a match. Or Brodus constantly having the same leg worked over.
Taking ANYBODY'S arm out is a huge advantage. And like everyone else has already said, DB and ADR both focus onthe arm usually. Other people would do so because that arm should be weak due to the first two guys mentioned.
