He doesnt. This is probably part of his character development and to keep Smackdown interesting because they are desperate. The problem is severe lack of starpower to elevate these world champions by providing them main event threat. Sheamus has been beating guys that are beneath him, just like punk. If Sheamus is over-pushed, punk is just as over-pushed. Hell atleast punk main evented 3 PPVs, Sheamus absolutely none, they even outright acknowledged that he is secondary champion. Its not going to matter if he pins or makes them tap out, he's going no where until he gets that one big win over heel Orton, because thats the only way.

The lack of star power is a problem, but making new credible stars wouldn't hurt either. I guess that is why CM Punk turned heel. They have teased Sheamus vs CM Punk and haven't done it yet.

Sheamus submitting Bryan? No Sandow or Wade?I guess I'm okay with missing this Smackdown.

I do have one question for anyone who might feel that Dwayne Johnson "owes" the business. Is it just him, or is it anyone who moved on to other things? Should Luna Vachon get heat for running a towing company instead of working on RAW? Should Maven be critiqued on his Home Shopping Network bits instead of wrestling?
Or is it only the ones who go on to highly visible careers in movies that owe something? Why do Johnson (who left after putting people over, doing the traditionally "right thing") and Lesnar (who did not; except for making Eddie a legitimate star) get called sell-outs who "forgot where they came from" when someone who retires to do some regular job get credit (as they should) for moving on and making it without falling into a sea of addiction?

Re: Smackdown 9/14/12 Spoilers + WWE SMS/Superstars Results
This really does seem like a bare SD episode. Can understand why guys like Sandow and Barrett weren't on seeing as they are not on the Night of Champions card.
Glad to see Rhodes getting used more though. A month back it was depressing how little he was used and now his feud with Cara has done enough for WWE officials to push them into matches they didn't need to be part of, which is a good sign imo. And one of the few highlights of RAW (for obvious reasons) was Cody beating Mysterio and attacking Miz making a statement about wanting the IC title back.

No Sandow or Barrett is just outrageous.
