Dolph would cash in out of the blue (see Edge when Undertaker got injured, see Bryan when Henry got injured), work with Orton, Orton would win the title quickly, and Punk would work more SmackDown's.
In a way, SmackDown is actually lucky, because it's so irrelevant it hardly even NEEDS a backup plan, so in a way, even though WWE have crippled the show, they've helped it in some small part by making it bulletproof if the top guy goes down. If Cena got injured Vince would be taken to intensive care.

They have Orton there, but yes I get it they don't have much faces ready for it, and that's one of the reasons I can't see ADR or other heel beat Sheamus for the rest of the year.
