Punk: "You are the WHC and that makes you second at best" Yeap, seems legit.

WWE should change the name of the title. Or just remove the "world" status of the title (similar as the ECW Championship in 2008).

The World Heavyweight Championship sounds great. It should be on par with the WWE Championship. Right now the title is closer to the IC title.

But its true. Its a mid card belt now, its the IC title of the current wwe product.

To be fair, regardless of the pecking order WWE always tried to maintain a facade that both brands and their respective world champions were equal at least in kayfabe. It's really become the ECW Championship now; opening PPVs, squash title matches, former champions turning to jobbers after their pushes, charity title reigns etc.

That was utterly stupid, no matter what people think of Sheamus, he's booked as dominant and strong, when somebody finally beats him for the title, it has to mean something. Brainless move by Punk, imo.

Alright then. How about Cena comes out next week and says that even though Punk's the WWE Champion, he's still only second best to him, that Raw is the Cena show and that Punk will never be the man because he's not good enough and that Vince doesn't want him to be. That's true. Should that be said live on the show as well?

Creative made a mess here.

I think we have 3 realistic options with the title:

1) Rebuild it as a real world title. Second to the WWE title but on par in terms of booking.
2) Remove "the world" status of the title and make it regular brand title. Like the ECW Championship in 2008.

Or the easiest

3) Unify both world titles.

Yeah. And weather we like it or not, Smackdown is a B-show and WHC is a secondary title.

Honestly i think the WHC is the belt where they test who can be the future for the WWE. Those stars who have the IT factor, but havent been in WWE long enough to be a contender for the WWE title. If that makes it a 2nd rate title thats fine by me, but id reather watch a WHC match than a WWE Champion match because more up and coming stars have a chance and theres more people fighting for the belt IMHO
