This is why I like CM Punk, because he says shit like this, that's raw and controversial. It's pretty obvious that the title is second fiddle to the WWE title though, I'm sure even the casuals know this.

LOL, all of you making an issue of this are getting worked.
CM Punk is saying his title is above Sheamus's because he's a heel and that's what heels do. Why doesn't anybody make an issue of Del Rio saying "THE ENTIRE ROSTER IS BENEATH ME!".
Hell, go back and watch the old Triple H and JBL backstage segment from Survivor Series 2004, which basically equated to both of them telling the other MY WORLD TITLE IS BETTER THAN YOURS. Nobody gave a shit then.
People just CAN'T be heels anymore, can they? Just because what he said is the truth doesn't mean he said it maliciously with intent to bury Sheamus or the title, it's all within the context of the show. Of COURSE somebody who bills themselves as "Best In The World" isn't going to admit another champion is on par with him.

Kayfabe, Punk said it because he's being a dick. I think the real reason it sticks out to us (or makes some folks uncomfortable) is because we all know its true. Breaks my heart to see the big gold belt as the lackey title...but there it is.

People are making this too big of an issue for no reason.
WWE themselves have constantly, shown that the order is Cena>WWE Title>WHC Title in recent times.
Punk was merely saying this as he was a heel and playing to his gimmick of being "Best in the World". Everyone believes they are the best, especially heels. Ziggler, Bryan, Miz, ADR all in recent times have said they are above the rest in some shape or form. Not surprising it is a big deal when Punk says it however.

I'm okay with it thanks Punk, the belt already ruined with that workout buddy holding that much time in an attempt of making things more legit he just bore us for months, only entertaining people should hold it that much time Sheamus can't offer more being the WHC. Build/Push other faces Vince HHH is just deluded with Sheamus workout antics.
