I always thought his Mic Skillz sucked Monkey Balls.
But recently, I honestly think he's been doing pretty ok.
His new, arrogant, intimidating, uncaring personality actually works wonders for his speech.
Listening to Batista has suddenly become (a little) interesting.

He's still bad on the mic, but he's nowhere near as much of an abomination as someone like Swagger or Morrison or Dibiase. Just a lot better as a heel than as a face.
no one hated batista more than me in 2009 but his new heel turn is the blessing of the century!!
he was always going to be in the main event scene but now i can cope with his character as his name is to destroy everyone in the ring like a beast and his wrestling skills dont have to be the best to do that

Swagger and Morrison may not be great but passable. As for Batista he's never been bad on the mic even during his face run. Since the heel turn he has more to work with and more to say as opposed to a face. It's easier to work the mic when your a heel because you have more material to work with. The 4 standout Batista promos since turning on Rey have been darn good I believe this was his first promo where he spoke since the heel turn:
People tend to forget this promo which was the most important promo by Batista it was the start of his change.

He isn't great on the mic but all you can ask of the guy is too give his best, work hard and with that he should improve. He is a heel at the minute and as others have said this gives him more material to work with and that can only be good for us and himself.
If he keeps up to the sort of level he was at with his promo on Monday Night Raw then no one can really complain.

You really got to stop with the Morrison and Swagger bashing its like you HAVE to let us know in practically every thread why you detest them. OK we get it. Besides Jeff Hardy and Chris Benoit are perfect examples as to why mic skills are not the be all end all. So with Batista his main strengths is his dominant strength, the ability to connect with the crowd, his marketable look, his edginess, and that stage presence of a major star.
Batista made the most of his push and worked toward it just because a person has friends doesn't mean he didnt work toward during the process besides he didn't get the immediate push he started with Dvon Dudley and after that spent 2 and half years as an Evolution member before becoming a full fledged main eventer. Eddie had influence on your boy JBL getting push are you going to say backstage that JBL didn't work hard toward that upcoming push? In this life everyone gets SOMEWHERE through somebody else I don't care if its something simply as knowing a friends manager and that was leverage in getting that job. Its a part of life.
