The U.S Army should be in the Impact Zone given how few people watch and attend the show, it'd be a relatively safe place for Osama bin Laden to hide out.

Apparently it's Ziggler vs Mysterio at Night of Champions too..
Wait he actually said that. I have to see this promo! I love that they are running with the straightedge heel angle. If if its anything like his Raven promos I am totally gonna mark out.

Looks like another great show. Hell, I can't even get mad at Kane winning, although again a Kane/Khali feud? Anyone clamoring for that? Can't wait for the Punk promo.

Re: On Going Spoilers for Smackdown July 10th, 2009
Here's a couple of extra notes because I attended the show.
Jeff Hardy's promo was about CM Punk faking the eye injury, and he came out wearing an eyepatch because he "suffered an eye injury" during last week's tag match. Basically the point is that Jeff believes Punker is faking.
Melina pinned Layla to win the women's tag, and proceeded to have a brawl with Michelle postmatch. Unlike male wrestlers, all it took to break it up was a single referee. :lol
There was no winner announced for Punk vs Khali due to Kane's interference, so I assume it's ruled as a no contest. Khali pretty much dominated as Jeff was on commentary and did not get involved. Kane and Khali had the lamest chair duel I've ever seen and I'm not looking forward to that program.
Rey vs Jericho lasted a good 20 minutes even. Scary moment occured when Rey first attempted the 619 midway through the match. It appeared from where I sat that he collided chest and throat-first with the top rope and pretty much collapsed to the floor. However the ref never flashed an X and the match continued without a hitch, so I can only assume that Rey's no worse for wear. Edge and Dolph Ziggler (?!) interfered afterwards.
Only two minor botches I saw. Kane and Jeff had to reshoot one spot where Kane front suplexed Hardy on the ropes and booted him in the head. Also, Justin Roberts announced Cryme Tyme as Shad Gaspard and "GTG."

It reminded me of Triple H's promos on Jeff late last year, taking potshots at Jeff's real life problems. That said, Punk makes it work in a wrestling sense, since he is straight edge and suggested Jeff be straight-edge too.
If Punk isn't a heel after next week's episode, then something has failed along the way.

Sounds good, I think they will milk this all they can so wouldn't shock me if they didn't carry this on all the way till the week before Summerslam or something like that.
Re: On Going Spoilers for Smackdown July 10th, 2009
Couple of odds and ends that are interesting but don't really have to do with anything.
When I arrived at the arena about an hour before showtime, I decided to enter by the side main entrance (Rabobank Arena has main entrances on the front and side of the building). As I got closer I saw a small crowd of people just sorta standing there staring into a smaller private area of the arena. R-Truth was hanging out there talking with some various crew members. So I got to see Ron Killings up close, though we didn't exchange WHATS UP or anything lol.
I got a pretzel from the concessions as they were changing from Superstars to Smackdown. On my way there I saw All Pro Wrestling's (APW) Nathan Rulez in the corridor talking with some chick that called him a dick as I was passing by and tried to make it really clear to me that she was talking about Nate and not me. XD
The dark match main event was Edge/Jericho vs Rey/Jeff in a steel cage. Took them longer to set up the cage than to have the match, which Rey and Jeff won by double pin after a bit of brawling and sending Rated Y2J into the cage once. WTF. Afterwards (and I may be wrong about this because I don't listen to their music) some guys came over to where I was sitting and started chatting away with the guy next to me. They were all wearing Black Label Society threads and the guy kept referring to their leader as Zack. So I may have been an arm's length away from Zak Wylde and the Black Label Society and not even realized it, due to my lack of knowledge of said band. Oh well, so much for autographs.
Re: On Going Spoilers for Smackdown July 10th, 2009
I'm looking forward to the main event and the continuation of the Punk/Hardy feud, particularly Punk's heel promo. With Punk playing up Hardy being one strike away from being fired, Jeff's possible exit from the company may play off really well on TV. Of course, that's assuming he's still leaving around SummerSlam.
I'm not looking forward to this Khali/Kane business. They seemed to have found a way to take the one of the few Smackdown feuds I didn't like since the draft went into effect in Khali/Ziggler and upped the crapiness. Punk and Hardy being dominated in singles match by Kane and Khali when the latter two won't be on NoC while the former two will be competing for the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the main events is a weird choice. Granted Punk caused Jeff to lose, and Kane attacked Khali to stop that match so it may not be as bad as it sounds, but it still doesn't sound like a great idea.
Ziggler going over Morrison was a bit strange. They seem to be pushing Ziggler and he's most likely going to face Mysterio for the IC title at NoC while Morrison will not be on the show, but I don't like them having Morrison lose his first TV match since he pinned the World Champion, roll-up finish or not. I'd rather they had Ziggler go over someone else, like say Finlay, and tried to build on Morrison's momentum.
At least the Hart Dynasty got their win back against Cryme Tyme from the show that'll air Friday.
