Eh, I think a heel turn would be awful for Cena. The guy is just too positive. How would you even work a storyline like that? What, he gets hit on the head by a hammer and forgets he's the "good guy"? That couldnt work, since he didnt really sell the DDT from Orton for too long..

In all seriousness, he makes a good face, but he just isnt.. all there. He gets heat from some people, very little effort is used when he gets put over, and generally, he seems to just be invincible for no reason whatsoever.

For instance, The Big Show can win because he is a massive person. He has a "knockout punch" thing going. Cena gets torn to pieces by mid-carders like Legacy, and owned repeatedly by Orton, and yet he retains the strap.

Its ALMOST (but not quite) as bad as CM Punk getting the title and actually keeping it for a while. Not very believable.

(Off-Topic - I'm watching the 29th's episode of RAW, and I'm really tired of HBK skinning the cat every time he gets an Irish Whip into the corner. Its just tired.)

Hardy receives more pops than Cena but Cena is still the top guy in the company, with HHH in 2nd. We have yet to see if Hardy can maintain his popularity as a top figure, the other 2 are proven and consistent. BIG difference, Hardy could be the next big name for years to come or the next Ultimate Warrior.

Errrr... are we forgetting Hogan had the most successful heel turn in wrestling history going from a longtime babyface to a notorious heel? It has worked and could work with Cena. Now isn't the time but yes, it has been known to happen.

Based on that logic heel and face turns wouldn't even exist. Cena's been a heel before too, and a relatively good one. Besides, he's not the only cheery face to turn heel. Look at Edge, he was one of the most upbeat, joke cracking faces ever.

I think Jeff Hardy is more popular with a wider range of the audience, but Cena is THE GUY in WWE currently.
