So, Funaki actually got a clean pinfall victory on SD. Now that he is Kung Fu Naki, does anyone see him becoming a midcarder? Maybe even get a U.S. Title match or two?

Funaki's win over MVP wasn't anything serious, and I don't think he gets a US title shot. He's only going to be comedic relief. His role will basically consist of getting a few lucky wins (Like tonight), and being a guy who heels beat up to get heat. After all, Funaki is a likable guy. He doesn't have the size or credibility (Decades of jobbing) to become a serious contender for any title. The comedic role fits him though, and is where he should be.
Not gonna lie, I love this gimmick (although it might just be because of the entrance theme).
