Yeah they are going too trust somebody with two stikes against him already and somebody they never know when he will no-show a show or come to a show stoned out of his mind or fail a millionth drug test too be the top guy on Smack Down. Yeah and The Boogie Man will come back just in time too main-event Wrestle Mania too be in a Triple Threat with The WWE Champion Jeff Hardy and the newly returning Eugene and Lita and Milena will be the next Diva Tag Team cover of Playboy. It is a shame because I think Jeff would be a great WWE Champion and it would bring some energy into Smack Down. It has gotten a tad stale and predictable lately.
I think the point of the match is for Jeff Hardy to take HHH to the limit and look like a top face in WWE. Also the point of the match is to create a high profile title match that will raise buyrates for No Mercy. I also think putting on an entertaining match is one of the reasons why this match will take place.
And you will look like a complete dumbass if Jeff does win the title...
who said HHH has to win? im not saying Hardy has to win, but you are COMPLETELY just ruling out any no contests, something that has been very prevalent in previous discussins about this match.

Regardless of who wins, it helps to further establish Jeff Hardy as a main event player. But, most importantly, it pits two of WWE's most popular stars against each other in a main event. WWE has been pulling this card a lot lately. Cena/Triple H. Cena/Lashley. Cena/HBK. Cena/Batista.
Jeff Hardy/Triple H just follows the trend. It generates buyrates, and that's why they bother having Triple H versus Jeff Hardy.

I'm not all that sure on HHH losing though at the moment. I'm thinking maybe Jeff hitting the swanton then Kozlov Hitting the ring with a headbutt. Either way i don't think HHH will get much of a clean victory,since they've been wanting to push Jeff as much as possible lately. They gave him a big push in Januray and also had him booked to win the MITB earlier in the year. After he came back from suspension he's been pretty much a top player on smackdown so maybe it is Jeff's turn,i'd certainly hope so,it'd at least shake things up again =)

You can't say that until after No Mercy. The fact is, the WWE might want you to think that HHH is winning, but shock the world by putting the belt on Hardy. Just like the WM 24 RAW main event. Nobody expected Orton to win. It's not really predictable at all. We all think Hardy may not get the belt because of his suspensions, but the WWE might have built up enough trust to put the belt on Hardy. We don't actually know fullwell.
Looking at booking though, Hardy won't go over unless it's DQ.

R-truth challenging Benjamin for the US title
Randy Orton forming a stable
etc. etc. etc.
All stories, be it wrestling or something else, share similiar endings. It's how we get there that makes it interesting

i read an interview with him yesterday and he seemed really posotive and really calm about all of the hype and stuff, he just seemed to care about how competative matt would be if he got wwe championship when he was only ecw champ.
