Re: LIVE, ONGOING COVERAGE FROM TONIGHT'S SMACKDOWN TAPING IN PHILADELPHIA
I just marked like anything when I saw that Taker has been reinstated.
At least we will see 1 good match at Summerslam!
Taker Vs Edge Hell In A Cell
But Khali in the WWE Title Scene?
WTF are WWE doing?

Re: LIVE, ONGOING COVERAGE FROM TONIGHT'S SMACKDOWN TAPING IN PHILADELPHIA
Khali draws a lot of heat, plus due to his size a loss to Triple H wont hurt his credibility to the casual fans. Big Show would have 4 weeks to get over as a heel (which I can't see happening as it would involve squashing low-card faces and why would Triple H care about that?), Face v Face fued would suck so that rules out Hardy and Kennedy. Umaga isn't credible enough right now and another loss would damage him further, MVP hasn't done anything since Backlash and Edge is taken. Its only gonna be a filler fued and hopefully Big Show will turn heel and Kennedy/MVP fued will help elevate both guys so this wont happen again.

not worthy? The Umaga-HHH feud was great!! HHH won 2 and Umaga won 1, but the match at Cyber Sunday was great
Umaga would be better than Khali

Result means more than just the outcome of the match. We all know Khali isn't winning and we all know he is about as over and competent as he ever will be.
MVP has been untested in the ME despite shining in an otherwise bleak SD midcard. He has proven he has what it takes to work with the best (vs Benoit and Batista) with the limited opportunity he has had.
If you think HHH/Khali will be a more entertaining, more important match which is achieving a lot then I am not going to argue that. HHH/MVP would make a lot more sense and be a MUCH better match though in my eyes.
Also, there are weeks of buildup to SummerSlam, easily enough time to make MVP look credible. Khali is hardly credible after all the jobbing he has done to anyone big in the company.

We might know Khali isn't winning but at the end of the day it doesn't matter what we "know". The fact remains that WWE will build Khali into a more credible threat then he already is and the casuals will buy into this threat.
MVP/Triple H makes sense because you're a smark, you aren't looking at this from Vince's point of view, which is a business point of view. Khali/Triple H is the bigger draw and will draw more attention from the fans.
Khali can job all he wants but his size makes him a believable threat, no matter what. Not to mention his track record as a former World Champion. You can make MVP look credible but not as credible as Khali.

I'd rather it be Khali then the midget.

Re: LIVE, ONGOING COVERAGE FROM TONIGHT'S SMACKDOWN TAPING IN PHILADELPHIA
Errr, how is it that some people think bookers can push a superstar within 4 weeks with out destroying another superstar's credibility? I'm baffled at the fact that some marks would love for superstars such as CM Punk to get a clean victory over extremely credible and established stars such as Batista. MVP and Kennedy have a long way to go, and their build up has to be done correctly, or it will fail. I think they are both at great points, and were at even greater points, but they've lost a lot of build up with lack of feuds, and these short-run feuds isn't doing anything for them. This feud between the two of them can elevate them, but they're not heading to the main event with it. Patience people, they'll be built up enough eventually, but meanwhile, there's a few other superstars who already have the build up and credibility to face the champion.

You guys never think of the flip side. Now til summerslam is not very long. To push MVP the "correct" way you would have to do some drastic things. He would have to go over some credible people instead of just jobbers or playing promo packages week after week. How exactly would you put MVP over in the next couple weeks?
And like Mystery said, because of Khali's size, the guy will always have credibility. That's the beauty of big wrestlers. The guy jobs for weeks and all the commentators have to do is remind us of how big his arms/legs/height are he his credibility is restored.

MVP and Kennedy will NOT be pushed anytime soon.
So some of you might as well get over it.

Woah, one of the most intense starts to a show you will ever see - MVP really does rip into Hardy, surprised they are bringing Hardy's personal career onscreen.
