How can you make a statement like that? What research is that based on? Khali still gets a decent reaction everytime he comes out on Smackdown? Khali consistently drew mid 2's when he was champion last year. Granted, not as good as guys like 'Taker or Batista, but still decent.

Honestly, with Hell in a Cell, I'd rather Jeff not in the title picture only because I'd rather see him and Triple H being the focal point of the PPV(s) they headline (I think this is the standpoint WWE has taken). However, even then Show was still a viable option.

Is The Great Khali horrible? Yes. But if Hunter is going to retain, I'm lost as to why people would want H to go over a viable contender.

I wasn't arguing against that, I was pointing out Jeff's unreliability and arguing against your unjustified bashing of Khali. You're probably right, fans might want to see Jeff more than Khali. You know what neither the fans nor the WWE want to see? A champion that violates the wellness policy for a third time and screws a lot up for them. Hardy's track record speaks for itself. People would have said he was changed in March 2008 and in July 2007, but they were wrong then and they could be wrong now.

I think people just need to relax as others including myself have said earlier in this thread

it's quite possible that they are planning on changing things maybe adding more people to the match or finding a way to write Khali out of the match.

No, in your words i'm just a realist, in the sense that i realise The Great Khali sucks.
