Will it be defended at the GAB?

I hope they let the Big Show win it, he needs a push

They need to do the same with the United States title as they are with the Intercontinental title, have Matt Hardy defend the title more often starting at the GAB, not seen if there is a match though.

They have been really doing a piss poor job with Matt Hardy's Us Title run.

He won it at backlash, and three PPV's will now go buy without him defending it.

Now with so many mid-card guys on Smackdown, it is going to be a mess trying to figure out the contenders.

We got : Shelton Benjamin (Who won a non-title match, so one has to assume he is in line for a shot at the gold.) Jeff Hardy, Kennedy, MVP, Umaga, Carlito.

At Summerslam I see a fatal four way of some sort. Basically a match throw together with no build. Hopefully we see a nice feud built up between Shelton Benjamin and Matt Hardy culminating in a 15 minute back and forth match at Summerslam with Hardy picking up his first title defense on PPV.

Is that too much to ask for?

It should be defended at the bash as it is the "US" title at the end of the day. They have the talent and air time if they decide to use it and we could see a Shelton/Hardy feud.

He defended the title at Night of Champions.

I agree that Matt Hardy's US Title reign has been booked awful. He has only defended the belt against MVP and Chavo Guerrero once and in a Fatal 4 Way on Smackdown against Shelton Benjamin, Chavo Guerrero and Mr.Kennedy.

There's really no excuse for it either as he has all the talent in the world to work with on ECW/Smackdown! since the draft. He needs to get into some feuds, otherwise all we'll see is him keep being booked in random triple-threat or four-way matches.

Since it's the GAB and they had that 4th of July FFW to celebrate on SD, i think they should just have another rematch. Hardy vs Benji vs Kennedy vs MVP

That seems like the most logical thing to do now since there's no other feuds Matt Hardy's been involved with. I'd like to see either Matt retain or Kennedy win. Kennedy's not going to get in the main event anytime soon but I think he can put the U.S. title over really well.

If I was WWE, I would have Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin at the Great American Bash for the United States Championship. Then at SummerSlam, Matt Hardy defends the title in a Ladder Match against Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, MVP, Mr.Kennedy and Chavo Guerrero. After sucesfully retaining the belt, Big Show comes out and destroys everybody and Big Show takes the title from Matt Hardy at Unforgiven.

I want Big Show for US Champion becuase he can have so many interesting feuds right now. He can have a feud with Umaga for the US Title.I think Big Show vs. Umaga would be a great US Title match for Wrestlemania 25. MVP, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin and Khali can also be good contenders for Big Show's US Title.
