I say give the belt to Shelton, I think they are extremely high on him right now as he cleanly beat Matt. Have Shelton beat Matt at Summerslam, Then Have them have some epic gimmick match at Unforgiven that would probably steal the show then have Shelton move onto a different feud and have Matt move on up the card.

Id say Shelton vs Kennedy would be nice.

This thread just reminds me how the WWE doesn't seem to understand the importance of the midcard and it's titles. How in the world isn't the US title booked to be the second most importance, and one which wrestlers really want to hold?

They should put the title and it's holder over, book people to really go after it, and have significant feuds. Matt is more than capable oh having great feuds and the mic work could probably be taken care of if needed somehow.

In essence, it is not good to pay $40 bucks for a PPV if it's only for one match and fillers. Well that's how the WWE seems to view the PPVs, the main event and the rest. If they gave the midcard its place, the busines would benefit.

Why can't they just have Shelton vs Matt. It can't be that hard to throw come up for feuds for your second top title.

For now they should have a feud. They also should have kept Shelton on ECW so they could defend it there and fill out the show. As of right now pretty much all of Matt's competition is on Smackdown! and it shows in the fact that he's defended the title mostly on that show.
