Smackdown Review:
- I missed most of the opening segment, but from what I saw Edge and the heads got the easy pinfall victory over Finlay courtesy of numbers and a spear. (1/4*)
- Big Show vs Khali/Benjamin/Kozlov/MVP was just a waste of talent, or lack thereof in some cases. Big Show looks strong before eventually the ref calls DQ after he gets attacked by an illegal man. A 4 on 1 beatdown ensues inluding a Khali Chokebomb on Show. (1/4*)
- Michelle attacked Natalya before getting taken away by the Edgeheads. After some fumbling, Cherry obtained the bouquet. Vickie put her in a match against herself, only after facing Natalya.
- Natalya won in about 20 seconds (1/4* for the sharpshooter). Vickie then wins in a 4 second match with a fast count after lying on top of Cherry.
(DUD).
- Kendrick pretty much sucks as a heel, be warned ahead of time. Still, will give it a chance. His bodyguard did nothing at all really. Ok match, Kendrick worked over the arm of Yang, Yang hit some offensive moves before a distraction enables Kendrick to get the win with his springboard three quarter facelock DDT or whatever its called. *
- Umaga/Kennedy was pretty boring and long. Kennedy did a pretty good job of involving the crowd, but the match wasn't anything special at all. Easily the longest and most boring match. (3/4*).
- Miz and Morrison/JnF was pretty good for a short match. Festus hit the fireman's carry flapjack on the floor on Morrison while Miz hit the reality check on Jesse in-ring for the pin and win. *1/4
- Hardy/Hardy I will be honest I missed most of. It wasn't long but it wasn't a total squash. I saw Jeff hit a few signature moves and the side effect before missing the swanton. Matt hit an ok moonsault but Jeff kicked out then they got attacked by La Familia, revenge for the Hardy's throwing cake in the face of Chavo. LOL @ them coming out together. (3/4*)
- Final segment was far too long for my liking. They played the video they did last year of Vickie and Edge's love
HHH brought out a few presents, one was a video of Edge and the Wedding planner. After about 3 little segments of it, with conversation between HHH and Edge in between, Edge told the Edgeheads to storm HHH. HHH revealed his 2nd present, in case this happened, which was of course his sledgehammer. Eventually it showed Edge making out with the planner, and Vickie screamed and attempted to hit Edge as SD went off the air.
Overall SD was ok I guess, but not really worth watching. The final segment, while ok, goes on FAR too long although it does have some moments
I thought HHH came across really well on the mic tonight.
