I just thought about the fact that after CM Punk cashed in MITB and won the World Heavyweight Championship SmackDown! only has 1 title - the WWE Championship. You can say that the WWE Tag Team Championship belongs to SmackDown!, but there hasn't been a single challenger from SmackDown! in months. I think SmackDown! should get either the Women's Title or revive the Cruiserweight Title and have a SmackDown! team like Jesse & Festus beat Miz & Morrison for those titles to bring them back to SmackDown!. SmackDown! has too many great superstars to not have a midcard title for them to go after.

Thoughts? Discuss.

Technically there is also the womans title too, though I dont see the mdcarders going after that one.

if you look on WWE.com the WWE tag titles are still listed as SD belts

but the US title is listed as a ECW title

I'm expecting Matt to drop the US title to a SD person very soon.

then SD also gets the Divas title.

Not sure abotu the tag titles cause there aren't too many tag teams on either SD or ECW. Jesses and Festus do nothing for me, they have split up Londrick, D&D and moved Finlay/Hornswoggle to ECW.

Unless they bring in a new team or move London over to SD the only possible feud that I have any interest in seeing would be the Hardys vs Miz & Morrison.

It looks like Miz & Morrison are gonna defend against Hornswoggle and Finlay or nobody at all. I doubt they're going to drop it to Jesse & Festus or the Hardys. They should call up someone for Benjamin to team with or call up Carlito's brother and whoever DH Smith's partner is in FCW, the Wilson guy. One of these two would have to be faces to take the title off Miz & Morrison, but I think Matt Hardy's going to be dropping his title to either Umaga, MVP, Carlito, or Shelton in the near future. I'm hoping it's Shelton because his Gold Standard gimmick means nothing without any gold round his waist.

maybe I might if he had a title but I somehow doubt it

I doubt it, but it's highly likely. I would prefer a heel having the midcard title because of the champion being a Face, but Kennedy winning would create space for more feuds with say MVP or Shelton or Carlito.

And Shelton's gimmick is hard to get into, but he kicks ass.
