What's probaly gonna end up happening is either Hardy is gonna drop the title to a Smackdown star.

Or

Matt Hardy will still make appearances on Smackdown so the US title will be for both ECW and Smackdown

Or

Smackdown will bring in a new mid card title. Maybe bring in The television title or something.

there are too many belts already so another one is just overkill and ECW doesn't need a 2nd title especially if they are going to be able to win SD's (or RAW's once they start taping with together) belts

No matter what, I can't to see how the WWE doesn't seem to realize the need to do something useful with the midcard, cruiserweight and tag titles.

It's simple math for me. Make a proper arrangement. 2 world titles, 1 woman and 1 cruiserweight splitted in 2 shows, 2 midcards (US and IC), and 2 tags, just the way it was until recently. Get feuds over the titles, make people really want it, get promos and feature the matches. Put credibility on them. Like in the world titles, but for the midcard.

I always remember when I knew the Road Warrios main evented a PPV. I know it's not the 80's, but I think WWE underuses and underrates everything under the main event too much, and they are just wasting opportunities to capitalize on the talent they have.
