I find it sad that a network has to rely on remaking old TV shows in order to attract somewhat of an audience.

Smackdown needs to go cable but WWE doesn't really care about Smackdown anyways. I hate too say this but I have to agree with CW calling it a show at its demise.

Well, that answers that as to who left who. CW should really recheck their priorities. If they think being a network that targets females is going to work on free TV, they should really rethink it. Not that Lifetime and their sister networks are big winners on cable anyways. Smackdown's been running strong for nearly 9 years. No repeats, 52 original broadcasts a year and this is a show that doesn't make up lost $$ on DVD season sets. How many shows have that longevity? Smackdown is easily the best program the former UPN and the CW currently have ever had. I predict the CW will fizzle out faster than any major network ever has. MyNetwork TV will soon be a very much requested channel if hasn't become one allready with the announcement Smackdown is heading there. That, much in the same way Spike TV (then TNN) became a much requested channel when the WWE made them their exclusive cable home from 2000 - 2005.

It's just as well really. CBS Cable didn't know how to treat the WWE's successes. whether it be RAW on Spike or Smackdown's run on UPN and the CW. USA and NBC Universal have embraced the WWE's return and I expect MyNetwork will do much the same.

The CW has been pushing Gossip Girl down everyone's throats for the passed year, they have no room to talk about show quality. Smackdown, a show on the way down? Uh no I think that's your network.

CW's loss, WWE programming is constant ratings, since the Hassan terrorist thing they aren't going to take any more real risks, just the kinda thing you want on your network.

Vince has to improve Smackdown after this. WWE should try to get Smackdown at the 3.0-3.2 mark at least. It won't be easy but with a good draft and good booking it could happen.

ah screw them. The only show I watch on there besides Smackdown, is the simpsons all the rest is crap.

and how can they saw crap about a show being "on the demise" when they show Sex & the City, Dave Chapelle, and South Park late night... what the hell???
