I am a fan of Orton and I was mad that Jinder won the #1 contender match but I am starting to like the feud between them and I am looking to see where it goes.

:lol this was gold

I hope they let him keep the title until sunday and he comes out acting like it's his. Then right after he loses have the BB grab it from ringside and run off with Jinder and the belt.

He comes out wearing it every week, cutting victory speeches while Randy, the champion, is in pursuit of his own title.

He is going to be golden as a heel in this mold. It's not going to get too far down the "terrorist" path and he can play it to the hilt to agitate the US audience. The crazy thing about it is if it is done properly from a creative standpoint they can possibly cultivate this persona as one that is only a heel in the US. I can see this getting over in a babyface manner in other countries.

If week 1 is any indication of how well he can portray this character then I believe it could have some legs.

I think as he adjusts to the more prominent role and people become acclimated with him in such it will get even better. I don't think the WWE cares about what the elitist IWC thinks of Jinder because if they cn get to a point where the casuals even somewhat buy his shtick then it's a huge win and a truer heel than anything the WWE have outside of Miz.

I agree, driving away in a limo holding the title out of the sun roof was so awesome! Most coolest/epic image in awhile.

I really like Jinder. He's doing a fantastic job, it's annoying though that he can be so good and they've wasted him as a jobber for years. And the only reason they decided to give him a chance is because they suddenly realized they need an Indian star. I would be happy to see him win the title.

I was laughing my head off when he just rode off in the limousine waving the title around and shouting like a madman :lol

His promo was pretty good again though, seemed to trip over a couple of his lines, but he's trying at least.

Im fine with mega pushes if the superstar lives up to his side of the deal. I expect him to improve greatly in the ring now, his promo work is solid.
Similar to alexa bliss who at this time last year had no individual personality and just adequate in-ring skills. The pushed her, even using Mickie to carry her through matches, keeping them fresh while making Becky look strong.

They need more stuff like driving away in the Limo, reminded me of when Rock Austin feuded and the belt got thrown into the river.

haven't watched the Jinder stuff. I'm willing to check it out (that clip of him in the limo with the title looks hilarious, in a good way) but one concern I have from the outside looking in (and its a common thing with the E) Is that for so long he was booked as a shmuck.

I don't get the WWE's logic that they expect the fans to all of a sudden just buy into him as a main-eventer/someone on Orton's level.

I haven't watch yet and perhaps my opinion will change, but as it stands now I feel like Orton should "squash" him, not in the sense that it has to end right away but in the sense that it should be a clear/decisive victory.

Would have helped if they put him in a different feud first to build him up more. But its the WWE, logical thinking is just foreign to them.

Stealing the title was an interesting way of doing it and I liked when he was in the limo taunting. Reminded me of this.

But... its going to take far more than this before I jump on the bandwagon that many laughably seem to be already just because it was a "shocking" direction.

The promo was ok, it hardly set the world on fire and why? It was the same tired, cliched foreign heel nonsense we've seen many times and done better. Didn't help that Randy could not have given less of a f**k what Jinder was saying which was almost comical :Rollins

Its very early days though so I won't be too harsh as Jinder has the advantage that he is a far more accomplished performer than Khali ever was but can we have Jinder truely re-inventing himself and not reverting to tired, unoriginal stereotypes? Remember when Bradshaw became JBL and how it was such a big game changer for him? This is the kind of change Jinder needs to do for the plan to work. You can use the "foreigner" stuff a little but hopefully not ALL of the material.

Jinder does the whole angry shouting promo quite well, but he needs to do more if he's going to be a main event guy.

It was fine for now, but hopefully he can show he can do more as the feud progresses.

Re: I liked Randy and Jinder segment

I liked the part where Jinder took a stab at Americans not accepting him because he looks different and he implied that he and his culture were above that....Jinder is booked from India....a country where they have a caste system and lots of ethnic strife which is derived from people looking different from one another.

I let it slide because WWe writers are equivalent to chimps at typewriters.

So uh are they trying to make Jinder Muhammed Hassan 2.0? Would that even work? I mean I'm all up for it. But how long before some people feel offended by what Jinder says and the wwe pulls the plug?

Jinder Mahal is less talented and more farther into his push than Hassan ever was.
