Most people on here want Bray Wyatt to beat Randy Orton because of "You deserve it! *clap clap clap* You deserve it! *clap clap clap*"

But you have to look at the roster, the storylines, and the possibilities. If Wyatt retains, who is he supposed to fight?

1). Orton again? Sure. But how long can you stretch this one out?

2). Luke Harper? He's not ready for the big one.

3). AJ Styles? Heel vs Heel is a no-no.

4). John Cena? We've seen it.

5). Dean Ambrose? We've seen it.

6). Baron Corbin? Heel vs Heel is a no-no.

7). The Miz? Heel vs Heel is a no-no.

8). Undertaker? Nah, he forgot that Smackdown is his home.

All you can do is extend Orton vs Wyatt.

In contrast, a champion Orton can fight:

1). AJ Styles. They've already set the foundation for a long rivalry.

2). The Miz. The promos would be gold, and Miz could use a strong face to feud with.

3). Baron Corbin. A rising heel could benefit from a popular, established face champion.

4). Dean Ambrose. A face vs face feud with Orton could work, or they can turn him heel.

Miz definitely deserves a shot at the championship, and Bray could easily turn face considering how much the fans are behind him. Miz is fantastic as a heel, and I'd be furious if he doesn't get a hold of the title by the end of 2017, would love to see what they could do together.

You know there's a draft sometime after Wrestlenania, right?

I think we can all expect a rematch at the next PPV regardless of who goes over at WM. But after that, the rosters will experience a shake-up due to the draft, and that means fresh opponents will be lined up for Bray should he happen to still have the title by then.

turn him face, feud with styles then miz then drop the belt to a heel roman reigns at survivors series
keep going as a face and fight brock lesner at mania 34 and win
1). Expecting Roman to be heel
2). Expecting Roman to be on Smackdown, the B-show
3). Expecting corpulent Wyatt to go over The Beast @ 'Mania

Well I would guess he would have a second match with Orton after WM

Then a feud with Harper

and by that time I would think Styles would have turned face and be ready to take the title back at Summerslam

You just answered your question right there. This feud isn't ending at WrestleMania, no matter who wins. Besides, AJ Styles is a de facto babyface, so turn him and a feud between him and Bray would be great. Or a match with all three.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

He would be a face. Regroup the original Wyatt Family. And "bring the machine down".
I've been saying for a while that I want someone maybe the Revival or the Usos turn up and try to help Orton win. They either succeed and have Bray chase. Repeatedly getting screwed by a Shane led stable of Orton, Crews and the Revival kinda like a Coperation 2.0. With Shane vowing that someone like Wyatt will never be the face of Smackdown. You have this cause tension between Shane and Bryan. Have Shane go full Coperate heel with his 90s cocky gimmick, have Wyatt keep getting screwed and outnumbered until one week he's getting beat down and the lights go out. Harper, Rowan and either Bo or Ascension. If it's Bo you make him silent and uber aggressive and go after mid card title with Harper/Rowan going as tag team or if it's the Ascension in their NXT gimmick then Harper is the mid card guy with alot more focus on him being 2nd in command
and use Rowan in the bodyguard role who is the muscle and silently stays with Bray. Bring back the down with the machine shtick, do all the catchphrases, have him go the stone cold route of hitting sister abigail on anyone who gets in his way heel or face.

The guy is a perfect tweener/anti hero, how they haven't done a Wyatt Family v Authority is mind blowing. Shit writes itself. I feel fans will buy into it he just needs to be creepy and do his whole world in his hands etc rather than the occult/supernatural stuff. Saying all that if they move Harper/Rowan completly away from Bray and even SD I'd be happy to see SaNity be the ones who help him to form a new family.

Sadly I think if we are getting the Wyatt family reuniting then WWE will rush it and Harper/Rowan will help him retain at WM. Which I'm torn by because I want him to retain but they could tell a wicked story to turn them all face/tweener anti establishment group.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

Depends on whether he is booked as a face in the build up to his feud heading into Wrestlemania. You are right, their is a distinct lack of top babyfaces on smackdown and with Cena going away for the foreseeable future and Styles possibly heading to Raw over the summer, it would create more opportunities if Wyatt was a face going forward.

Still though, even if he is a heel, his feud with Orton will continue for a PPV or two and then we can have an influx of a couple of babyfaces to Smackdown with the draft to challenge Wyatt till one of them dethrones hi, lets say at summerslam or Survivor series.

Why is a heel vs heel a no-no? It would finally be nice to see that more often.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

This question can be made for anyone that is the champion on SD. The roster is limited, so no matter who is holding the title, there is likely to be repeat feuds and matches. With that being said, it's not that difficult to get him through 6-9 months as a champion:

1. Orton feud will not be over t WM, it's going at least one more ppv
2. If Harper remains a face, which I don't believe. I think he pairs up with Wyatt again and saves that feud for later after they legitimize him some more
3. Ambrose. I don't want to see it, but he's over
4. Styles is obviously happening pretty soon. AJ will likely be the #1 face by SummerSlam
5. Cena if he sticks around/returns soon enough
6. A heel/heel battle vs. Corbin or Miz. Either could work on a B level ppv
7. If Nakamura debuts soon, I'm sure he's going to carry a lot of his fan adulation and momentum to the main roster
8. Kane is even a possibility. It'd be a shit match, but there's a history there, and I'd personally like to see Wyatt retire both Kane and Taker...but you know, that's just me.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

Personally I would keep him champ after Mania and then eventually turn him face after Mania. People like Bray and want to cheer him.

Don’t know if there will be a draft or trades and how that will change the landscape but a face turn for him would allow him to reach a new level and open the doors for someone else to slide into the top heel role.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

I think you make two big mistakes in your post.

1.) People aren't rooting for Wyatt because he "deserves it", they are rooting for him because WWE has a chance to create a young up and coming star. Rollins hasn't main evented, Balor hasn't, but Wyatt and Reigns have. That says a ton about how WWE views Wyatt.

2.) Who's to say Wyatt is going to be a heel? And if he is a heel this thought process of a heel vs heel not being done is a joke. It would have the potential to create something fun and interesting.

Could continue on with Orton until the draft, then we get new guys and he could face someone like Seth and Finn at Summerslam.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

I've been thinking about this alot last few days. I'll be really disapointed if Wyatt doesn't retain. He's never won at WM and if he's gonna be a legit main eventer he needs the big win where as Orton doesn't and can be slotted into the main event on Raw or SD whenever he's needed. However deep down I belive they will give Orton the title as a sorry for Lesnar caving his head in.

I'd really hoped for AJ v Wyatt as they seem to have great chemistry. Before the Wyatt split I was hoping Rowan/Harper realigned at WM helped Bray retain and Guns n Gallows got moved to SD for a Club v Wyatt feud for wwe title and tag titles.

However I see AJ going to Raw more or less straight after WM so a great first feud post WM for Bray would be Matt Hardy it's a ready made story and Matt would at least provide a strong character to fill the hole left by AJ. Unfortunately again that story would have been 100 x better if OG Wyatt family would have reunited at WM.

Broken Hardyz v Wyatt family starting in front of the rowdy post WM crowd next week would have been incredible.

My only other hope for Wyatt without the family is they turn Shane after AJ match and he creates a cooperation 2.0 stable and vows that he can't allow someone like Bray to be the face of sd. Thus turning Wyatt into the anti authority/anti Coperate tweener. The down with machine shtick could get over huge if they booked it right. Shit writes itself but not sure WWE can pull it off anymore. Though if someone there can it's the SD creative.

Re: If Wyatt retains, what will he do after Wrestlemania?

LOL!!! Catch up people. Styles will be on RAW after Mania. All Smackdown will have is Orton and Wyatt as Main eventers. Cena is on movie making break. They are attempting to push Corbin hard, not betting on those chances.

Reigns is slated to move to Smackdown some time in the near future. Hopefully soon.

So the main event scene on Smackdown, unless Reigns gets drafted, will be fairly slim over the new month or so. Maybe more. They could keep the Orton feud going, as if it hasn't gone on long enough.

Nakamura would be a big plus, but pushing some one to the top fast can be very risky. Obviously he has a big chance of success.

I think it will be seen very soon why Wyatt fails as a long term champ pretty quickly.

Til then RAW will pretty much have everyone and SD won't have shit.
