Why does the number of Baron Corbin fans appear to be multiplying?

-His matches are decent at best(TLC vs Kalisto and w/Rhyno vs AA being his best work by a far margin, mostly because his opponents sold like their lives depended on it)
-His promo delivery is dull and boring(YMMV on that tbf)
-He has two good moves(a solid Finisher and a rather good Deep Six in all fairness) both of which need to be used on smaller guys to look good.
-He looks like a taller version of every edgelord early 2000s metal club regular.

Have WWE given us so much awful wrestlers over the years that this is what passes for a main event talent now?

He's basically a far less talented heel version of Reigns 'One vs All' character.

I'm starting to think wrestling fans aren't smart enough for WWE to respect us enough to listen when guys like this manage to gain sizeable fanbases (less noticeable on here, but on wreddit he is constantly praised)

Or maybe the Reigns push is working by distracting fans from the glaring flaws of other talents.

LOL, yeah. I bet if Corbin was on Raw, everybody would be saying how shit he is :lol

But I don't get the sudden number of Corbin fans tbh. I don't find him entertaining whatsoever, he's still deathly boring to me.

Actually I think he has improved tremendously since his NXT days, to justify his main roster push.

I was for a long time a total anti fan of Corbin and I never thought he would amass to anything but a jobber if that, but I'm glad to say he proved me wrong; he has gotten some sorely needed intensity in his game; not running out of gas after a minute anymore and is quite enjoyable in the ring.
But, he is still boring as hell on the mic, if he can change that around too, upper mid card/main eventer.
And he's wrestling in a tshirt, no more sad belly!

I’m not his biggest fan. But he’s a guy who has improved starting from nothing in NXT. Has some good offense. Great punches. Is believable as a killer.

There are still things I don’t like about him. He’s not a great talker and he needs to do something with the attire besides wrestling in a cut off t shirt. But just because I don’t like certain things about a performer, doesn’t mean I can’t like, highlight, and praise what I do like about them.

Because much like his counter part Strowman on Raw he is this years annual monster heel like what Rusev was not too long ago who wins a lot of matches.

Therefore marks jump on the bandwagon thinking he will be the next Goldberg then cry in disgust/shock, when he is a comedy act a year later from now.

I was never sold on Baron and wondered the same. He's watchable but I certainly don't see him as main event talent.

Yep , he's getting more fans because he's been improving and wwe has constantly portrayed his character well since his debut. Now if he had debut and lost to kallisto in 5 seconds , we wouldn't be having this conversation. As it is , he has consistently booked as a loner bad ass and tough SOB.

I've dug Corbin since his NXT days. He portrays a very different type of character than we're used to seeing in the WWE, not a huge muscled up monster, not aesthetically pleasing, but he is a legit bruiser with a sick entrance theme, and he is continuing to show great intensity in there.

They need to keep him away from the mic though, which makes sense actually, his character shouldn't want to really cut promos.
