What should AJ take as a souvenir after he defeats Dean for the title?

I like AJ taking Cena's "Never Give Up" armband that he left in the ring at Summerslam.

Reminds me of Chong Li taking Ray Jackson's head bandana after beating him in Bloodsport. When Cena comes back to face AJ, he can reclaim the armband from him like Frank Dux did the bandana at the end of Bloodsport.

As far as Ambrose, yeah I'd agree with taking the leather jacket but AJ's got a leather jacket of his own though. Or he can unpants Dean and steal his jeans :mj

No, we are not turning this into another Shield Discussion Thread.

"Ambrose is so hot"
"Rollins is so cute"
"Reigns hair is great"

That shit died and needs to stay dead, do not get people's fantasies going again, lol.

Anyways, considering Ambrose's attire consists of wife beater and jeans, nothing really for AJ to take. Unless Dean brings his shades.

He's going to take his record in title matches, pre title win. Before he wrestles at Backlash. I believe Ambrose went 0-5 or 0-6 if you count the Rumble in World Title matches before he won it. So after AJ loses at Backlash, he will be 0-3. So he still has to get 2-3 more title shots before he wins it.

As for Cena, he's being kept off tv right now. So he doesn't look weak after losing to AJ and for storyline purposes. But he's not actually gone. He wrestled dark matches Monday and Tuesday. I wouldn't be surprised if he returns at Backlash and distractions AJ allowing Ambrose to win. Then they do AJ/Cena 3 at No Mercy or Survivor Series, before Cena actually leaves.

No, Summerslam was the blowoff. They won't meet again until its something like Wrestlemania for the Championship.

Also, win/loss means absolutely nothing. You talk about wins and losses a lot when they don't matter at all. It came out that AJ was supposed to win the Universal Title before plans were changed to call up Balor. If AJ was going to win the new belt over Reigns and Rollins, what do you think is about to happen at either Backlash or No Mercy?

He is the biggest star in the company right now. He is getting the belt.

I don't think that AJ will win the title until the 2nd PPV in this storyline. Dean vs. AJ at Backlash will probably be Dean retaining when Ziggler costs AJ the match. Then they could do a triple threat Hell in a Cell match at that PPV where AJ would likely win the title.

If Cena's armband can give AJ strength, then Ambrose's quirt bottles should give precision.

Is that AJ new gimmick, taking something of a guy he beat....

Some of you are in for serious heartbreak. I'm not Nostradamus, but I've been right more often than not when armchair booking since MITB and as such, I feel very confident when I tell you that if you believe AJ vs Cena will be dragged out into WM, you're insane.

The same way it was obvious Dean was going over vs Seth & Roman. The same way it was clear AJ was getting the clean win over John. The same way it was obvious Dolph had less than no chance at winning the title. It's just as clear that Cena will be going over AJ before years end and walking into WM with the title. There's NO CHANCE AJ is walking around with John's armband and calling himself the FOTC and Cena won't muster up the courage until 7 months from now to confront him. AJ is on fire but he isn't a McMahon creation. More importantly, he's 39 and John is STILL the top face of the company. This isn't a Daniel Bryan situation. John will get his win back (and more) and he'll be the one to take the title off AJ at either the December PPV or the Rumble.

I've said since the split that the only three men to hold the title over the next year would be Dean, AJ, and Cena. Ambrose WILL drop the belt to AJ either in September or October but he was always going to drop the belt to AJ. You can bet your sweet ass that Cena will return to collect his debt, however. Anyone who believes AJ (as high as Vince is on him) will head into WM with the top belt hasn't paid attention. AJ is getting a well deserved nod and run, but he isn't getting the last laugh over John not will be walking around with his wristband for nearly a year without Cena getting his win(s) back. Dean's true test is what he does without the title and how over he manages to get. It's clear Vince is willing to give him a shot but his truly work begins the moment AJ pins him. Cena will be putting over a young guy (likely Dean) at WM or he'll be retiring Taker if Ambrose fails to impress McMahon.

American Grit won't take half a year to shoot and John will be back. He's the most recognizable name in the company. They're not using him come WM season to trade wins with a veteran like AJ who will be (and already is) a made man. Enjoy AJ's run and take solace in the fact Vince and John signed off on him going over clean. It was the right thing to do as SD now has an extremely credible guy in John's absence but once he wraps up his Hollywood tour de force, he's returning and getting his wins back immediately. If Sting had to lay down for Vince's guy, you're out of your mind if you think AJ has a chance. John will be putting over the next Superman baby face for SD (whoever Vince decides that may be) or he'll retire Taker. AJ will likely get a stellar program with Nakamura or someone along those lines. That's the only way this saga ends.

I agree with a lot you have to say, but at the end of the day Cena winning his 16th has to be at a bigger PPV against a big name/feud. Right now, there are only two guys who are good match ups for Cena's 16th - Taker and AJ. Cena v Ambrose at WM isn't top WM worthy match when compared to the 3rd AJ-Cena and much much more interesting Taker-Cena. The fan investment for both those matches will be far bigger than Cena-Ambrose.

Why are some of you so upset about the Idea of AJ Styles having a long reign as champion?..You all seem bitter, honestly.

Hes performing better than everyone else in the ring and with mic skills to go along with it...Who else on Smackdown is favorable for a longer championship reign? Ambrose? LOL Dudes matches are boring. Wyatt? Always injured and getting buried. Cena? *Yawn*.

Face it. A long AJ Styles Reign is whats best for business. Oh, and yes, each champ he beats he collects an item off. Would be pretty hilarious by the end to have a box full of wrestlers items.

I cannot wait for the fume from AJ fans when Ambrose goes over with one dirty deeds.

WWE need new stars for the future, they are becoming more aware of this. Like it or not, AJ is not the future. If he gets a run as Champ, it'll be a couple of months at most before dropping it to someone like Ambrose. So all of this granular Wrestlemania plans for AJ all of you want? You're going to be disappointed.
