Is there any point to Bryan being the GM?

I mean Shane never leaves, ever, he's always there along side Bryan. I mean i just don't see Bryan's purpose if Shane is always there every week. The whole reasoning behind hiring GM's was so they could run the show while the bosses was away, but he just never leaves, so not much point in Bryan being there.

Well, he gets pops, he keeps the heat of the McMahon's (so it's not just seen as another McMahon feud), and I'd say he's definitely into sort of a tweener kind of role with him talking a lot of shit, while Shane is being made to look like a face. Sort of like Stephanie being the heel, and Foley being the face of those two.

Think they're just trying to balance everything out.

I love what Bryan is doing. Their is no point to McMahon is the way I look at it. He sucks on the mic, always sounds nervous and out of breath from his lame Ching Ching dance. Looks like a dork on top of it. Zero reason to be out there besides his last name.

There is no point of Mick either because Stephanie is still there also. Hiring GM's meant less Mcmahons on TV and more about the actual wrestlers however it seems the Mcmahons still need their 15 minutes of spotlight.

What are you talking about, Dbry has been the leader of Smackdown.

I'm not even a fan of Dbry, but he knows how WWE should be, and has the fans to back him up. There is no other man to run the day to day stuff. Shane is great, I just feel he needs to focus on bigger fish, being "in control" on TV isn't the same as controlling things back stage.

Remember when they said Shane gets RAW after WM, that was facade. That was just thinking people would like it just cause Shane plays the part of GM on Vinces show. Fuck that didn't work. This Smackdown were watching, is 100% legit real change. Looking at RAW you can tell they didn't change 1 bit.

Whether Dbry is actually running Smackdown, his role as GM has been big reason it has been great. I mean coming off Smacking Talk I almost want to say "how dare you".

Honestly anyone complaining about Smackdown right now, needs to shut it. Smackdown might not make right decisions 100% of the time, but the fact is, they don't make any bad decisions, which is a breath of fresh air in WWE. Compared to RAW who hasn't changed jack, maybe they should find someone who isn't a fucking puppet and sell out like Mick (yeah I said it, he sold out like Ice Cube did).

I was thinking the same thing: what is the point of GM's if the McBrats are still going to be around? I know Daniel Bryant is a pop/grasp for ratings but what the hell purpose does Mick Foley serve? Remind me that I'm old now too every time I see him? It's not like Nipple H is going anywhere...ever. They should have just left it at her.

I can't believe I just said that.

I think I'm going to be sick.

Is there any point to Bryan being GM? No.
Is there any point to Shame being commissioner? No.

Is there any point to anyone being GM? No.
Is there any point to anyone being commissioner? No.

It's scripted television, the GM, Commission and everyone is a character. All the GM and Commissioner are there is to be an on screen authority figure, like everyone else they are (bad) actors.

Well, at least, he was the one that made the Main-Event for the last Smackdown and Backlash ( And AJ Styles behind the number one contender simply because he beats Cena was fresh )

and I see the GMs as more like people who are giving insight, telling what the best matches for the night should be and I like the chemistry between him and Shane
