Default Heath Slater, the next guitar bashing son of gun?

Obviously with 3MB kicking Slater won't be doing anything on his own for some time. Having a character that just pertains to himself is hard to do when you are in a stable that doesn't really clarify who the leader actually is. However at some point once 3MB no longer exist I find that Slater may end up in the same category as Jeff Jarrett, and Honky Tonk Man. At some point I would imagine Slater start playing a real guitar, and not air guitar like he does now. The guy who started 3MB will be the one to break it all up after he realizes how awful it all was, and that he is a real star who actually has talent.

Thus, Slater becomes this mixture of a Jeff Jarrett, and Honky Tonk Man heel persona. Obviously he goes about the character his own way. Similar to how Damien Sandow has come up with a version of The Genius, but with his own creative, and original spin of a character that embraces brilliance. Heath has enough "wrestling smarts" to do a spin of those two guitar bashing legends. I think he needs to follow through that same line of characters. He has this idea that he can sing, and play. Who knows what if he actually can, and then people have to boo man who actually has talent. Then again it would be better if he was the heel who thought they had talent instead.

I can see a Slater/ Big Show skit already- Slater smashes the guitar over Big Show who no-sells it, gets angry, goes under the ring and pulls out... dun dun duuuuuunnnn... a double bass and lays out Slater with it

Just joined last night, and this looks as good as any thread for my first post.

I had been scratching my head ever since 3MB hooked up as a group. I didn't see how they could get over with that since the three of them together like that just didn't make any sense. After a while I started thinking maybe that was the point. To me, Slater has the most talent in the group. I think sometime after the Royal Rumble Drew and Jindar are going to turn on Slater, saying they thought the gimmick was stupid all along and blaming him for their continued lack of success, causing Slater to turn face and possibly see how the crowds react to him that way. Maybe he will be pushed in that direction.

Listen to me and listen to me right now.

I would mark and instantly be a Slater fan if they gave him Jeff Jarrett's WCW theme, a guitar that he uses to smash people with EVERY time, and he calls his opponents "Slapnuts".

You telling me this doesn't fit Heath Slater? Exit off the fucking stage, slapnuts.

Slater is good at his one man band thingy....but we all know Mcintyre is the star bursting to break out!

It will be interesting to see how this goes after the rrrrrrrrrumble!

Not that bad of an idea, I guess.

But we don't need ANOTHER face comedy character. (Clay, Truth, Santino, Ryder?)

This would be terrible, because that song is the very dictionary definition of a "The Jimmy Hart Version" theme song - the song in question being a Kid Rock song.

Also, Slapnuts is the stupidest insult ever. And Jeff Jarrett was a joke - Heath Slater's already a joke, but he's his own joke. Why would he want to be some has-been's joke?
