The only way for WWE to improve Smackdown is to have a completely different viewpoint of the show. Smackdown has a completely unorginized roster. It's the B-show, but there's more to that label.

If a wrestler is new to the roster and placed on Smackdown, his best bet is to get some exposure and then move to Raw full time. Raw is the end goal as it's the only place you are going to have a meaningful career. If you are a veteran (and by that I mean more than 2 years on roster) and a Smackdown regular without significant time on Raw, WWE doesn't care about you in the long run. WWE sees enough value to keep you on roster, but not enough to have a significant role in the company. There are a few exceptions. WWE obviously cares about Sheamus, Del Rio, and Orton. They probably care about Barrett. But these men are also involved in significant segments on Raw also. The rest of the veterans are screwed and Smackdown is their end point.

Moving the roster around or utilizing them better will make a better Smackdown product, but it will not likely do anything to significantly change their position in the WWE. Real change and improvement will only happen with a significant change in how Smackdown is perceived.

I don't have a problem with Smackdown. You like big storylines, watch Raw you want good wrestling matches, watch Smackdown. I happen to like it that way.

Recently, Smackdown can't even claim that it has good wrestling matches. I've been very disappointed with the quality of the matches on Smackdown and it seems like the wrestlers are just going through the motions with the most basic set up. It's just a show full of squash matches and pointless filler.

Kill the supershow. Bring back the brand seperation. Make a big deal of the draft. Give the belt to Barrett and let him have a HHH reign of terror. Build a ME off 6-7 guys who can work the matches. Build up the IC belt as well, with good workers. Make SD more dark and edgy, within the PG rating. Get Regal as colour commentary with either Josh or Stanford as play by play. Focus on wrestling. Let it be the wrestling show.

Bring back Braggin' rights.

Getting the title off Sheamus would help, not even because I don't like the guy (I do), but because he's not really doing anything with/for the Championship at this point.
yes yes yes

Smackdown is fine, Raw is the 'brand' that needs improvement.

I want to go a complete 180 than you.

I want to kill the brand split all together. Unify the WWE/WHC belt. Ultimately you create a Belt being chased by John Cena, CM Punk, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Dio Rio, and Daniel Bryan. Next step would be making the US Belt either the European Belt(which appears to be happening anyways) or the TV Title. That Belt would be for the Cesaro's, Sandows, and Zack Ryders of the world. Its would be a belt for the low to mid card and a stepping stone to the Intercontinental Championship. Like in the 80's and 90's(wrestling era I liked the most) this Belt would be for the Miz's, Christian's, Jack Swagger's of the world. It would be the mid card to upper card.

I think going this route would not only give more credence to each belt, it would create more interesting story lines. One positive I'm seeing is that the Tag Division is slowly trying to come back.
