Agree turning heel is never the answer, if Randy is turning heel and Ziggler face it shouldn't happen. Smackdown would only have Bryan and Ziggler as the upper card faces then.

Fresh opposition is what he needs and logical booking. Not random squashes. A feud with Sandow would be very nice, they had a very good match before.

Some vulnerability would do wonders for the guy, it would get pretty much everyone more invested in his feuds. He is actually a pretty good worker, I don't mind his mic work either, but if there's a sense that this guy can be beat and beat convincingly by someone then people will care more. If he's going to come out on top in pretty much every segment then what's the reason to invest in him as a fan?

There is a vicious cycle going around on this forum.

Face not in the main event scene > Gimmick must not be working, turn him heel.

1. Not every face can be in the main event.
2. Just because someone isn't in the main event, it doesn't mean their gimmick is not working.
3. It also doesn't mean they've failed.

If WWE turned someone heel the amount of times its suggested on here, the company would be a laughing stock.

Also, back to point 2. You can have EVERYONE in the main event, its impossible. Every now and then a wrestler will have to step to the side and let someone else have the spotlight. It doesn't mean its not working.

You can be in the mid card and be successful. Too many people look at wrestlers on here and judge there ability / progress on what feud / storyline they are currently in. You can only do this to a certain extent.

I've enjoyed his feud with Sandow very much. Its been some of his best work for years, just because its not closing shows, doesn't mean it hasn't worked.

Like I said, not everyone can main event all the time.

I know I've gone off point here, but there are threads like this all the time.

Right now, I don't give a single shit about him, so any change (barring more wins) is a step in the right direction for me.

Sheamus doesn't need to change, he will always be un-entertaining. He just needs to go away.

He is not enjoyable to watch as a face or a heel. Turning him heel is not the answer, because he is just as untalented either way.

The heat he is getting isn't because fans love to hate him...they just hate Sheamus as a person, not as a character.

He is 100X worse than Cena in the Superman role... there isn't any spot this guy can realistically take and do well at. Apart from pre-show nonsense, and non major TV appearances.

"Again, the nice part about it is that we listen to our fans, and they're the ones who really decide who is ready to break through into that top echelon."

No he isn't. If anything, that bore-fest Cena speech before Mark Henry came out and saved that segment is proof of this being false.

Sheamus character is just confusing and downright bipolar. Is he a fun loving, good guy who loves a challenge or is he a brutal, fight loving, sore loser?

In the ring, Sheamus's moves are far more vicious than Cena's goofy ones. Sheamus's character has no reason to be goofy but at the same time he doesn't have to be a heel either. He just needs to be a serious, good guy. Not all faces have to be perfect, good guys. In movies, video games, manga/comics, and cartoons/anime you have variety for good guys. Not every good guy is the same. This is the problem with the WWE. Everyone has to be an Irish, Mexican, Black, etc version of Cena. No face is an individual.

Also, you don't build characters for children. Smiley, good guys who overcome the odds don't reel in the majority of the market, cool guys do. Luffy destroys Ichigo and Naruto in popularity and manga sales as a main character because he is a good guy with faults. People like to see characters fail, overcome challenges, and in some cases be completely outclassed. Why do you think Bryan is still over after having lost so much? Because people are waiting for the eventual payoff that him winning the "big one" will have.

At the end of the day, children will latch on to anything that looks cool. Kids like Iron Man and Batman but they are some of the biggest jerks ever and are no way catered to children.

Sheamus as a heel he was more dominant

No he wasn't more dominant current Sheamus just obliterated inside and outside of the ring the guy that is supposed to be Cena new threat like nothing also has a wrestling fan what I get from that? that's the problem with Sheamus feuds they are directionless/worthless and lack plot it's just the fella enjoying himself, also dont blame PG we are in a streak of good Smackdowns and just this week RAW got great, PG doesn't ruin WWE but boring wrestlers like Sheamus? yes.

Turning him heel wouldn't help him. He is over with the crowd & kids.
He needs a clear direction, to be better booked and a better feud than Damien Shadow, because it's quite lacklusting.
